About the Author

S.C. Stephens is a bestselling author who enjoys spending every free moment she has creating stories that are packed with emotion and heavy on romance. Her debut novel, Thoughtless, an angst-filled love triangle charged with insurmountable passion and the unforgettable Kellan Kyle, took the literary world by storm. Amazed and surprised by the response to the release of Thoughtless in 2009, more stories were quick to follow. Stephens has been writing nonstop ever since. In addition to writing, Stephens enjoys spending lazy afternoons in the sun reading fabulous novels, loading up her iPod with writer's block reducing music, heading out to the movies, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She currently resides in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her two equally beautiful children.

S.C. Stephens is the master of love and emotion between a man and a woman.
It's tangible. You get completely lost in it.
You live it.......
One of her earlier books, you can see the foundations she layed down for the absolutely fabulous trilogy 'Thoughtless'
This story is about
Forbidden love, longing, passion and frustration.
The characters are both beautiful souls, and the angst is almost unbearable at times.....
Eventually- through some heart rendering circumstances - love finds a way. And it's hot and sweet!
I adore this author. Seemingly without effort, you just get immersed in her stories- you live it, and they stay with you always.
You will not be disappointed- guaranteed!!

Well I really enjoyed this, it's a slow burn and at 456 pages a big read I think it's taken me about 3 days at least, you can't read it quickly, I couldn't anyway.
The characters feelings, emotions and thoughts are described with such honesty and in a very matter of fact sort of way and that is one of the reasons it takes time.
I haven't read all of S.C. Stephens books but everything I have read I've absolutely loved.. All the 4 books in the Thoughtless series and Untaimed and the thing is, we've become so used to that type Of read from this Author you almost expect it all the time, let's face it I think S.C. Stephens will always be remembered for the Thoughtless series, I can still remember the first book the love triangle between Kellan, Keira and Danny as if it was yesterday even though It was back in 2012 and what a great series it is too.
If you are hoping It's All Relative is going to be like anything that's gone before then you will be disappointed, read this with an opened mind and you will appreciate it for what it is.
Jessie and Kai's story is written so well and beautifully told, there is a lot of time taken nothing is rushed and because of that you might think it drags in parts but it certainly makes up for it in others there are plenty of times I couldn't stop reading.
You need plenty of patience waiting for the big reveal but it's all worth it in the end.!
I used my imagination a lot, how would I feel and deal with being in a situation that Jessie and Kai found themselves in, I mean what are the chances, I really felt for them and willing for there to be a way so they could be together they were so suited and completely on the same page!

This story is about Jessie and Kai who had a passionate one night stand after meeting in a nightclub but the next day brought a devastating revelation that stopped them from becoming a couple, there is a twist to the story and once Mason comes on to the scene it was pretty obvious who he was to Kai. the story then become boring and predictable after that and I hurried to finish it.

I usually love anything this author writes but this book was very disappointing, however it could have been so much more as the story was a good one. There just wasn't enough drama and angst in it and it just plodded along until the end and that finished rather quickly! There was simply no substance to this story. It is basically about Jessie and Kai who meet in a nightclub without realising they are related as 1st cousins. They have a night together and then meet up by accident when they both go to see their grandmother in hospital. From then on it really goes downhill in the sense that it becomes a very repetitive story with Kai and Jessie trying to fight their feelings. I would have liked some more drama and jealousy with both of them actually trying to forget each other by going out with other people especially Jessie and then to have Kai fighting for her and getting jealous would have made a much more interesting story. Kai did go out briefly with Jessie's flatmate but that didn't amount to much. It was far too tame and sweet for me and needed more drama in it.

I think I join the majority here whereas I bought the book because I loved the thoughtless series. However, soon after the start, I realised it wasn't going to be anywhere near as good as thoughtless and by 10% I had guessed the twist. By 17% I was reading just because I hate giving up on books (my friend warned it was a slow burner) but by 20% the twist was confirmed/obvious and I thought 'why bother reading on'. Its simply written, it's a really weak story line and slow burner or not, I need a book that grabs my attention from the start - I don't have time to hang around until 3/4 of a way through a book to be able to not put it down. Most dissapointed - first book I have not read til the end for a long time.

This isn't as good as I expected it to be, it had to many floors, the story doesn't have that grip to it, it's to polished and lacks the bad boy image. What really drives me crazy is all the POV, it flits back and forwards to mich between characters and writer. You have the story tellers PoV (writer) then your flitting to the characters PoV then another characters then back to the writers PoV, in the end I gave up, I couldnt bring myself to finish this.
