After the first five series, this sixth series is a bit of a let down. Michael Bates died after the fifth series and (depending on how close to filming this series this occurred) this may have effected this disappointing sixth series. As I have said elsewhere, the 7th series is a big step up again. If you are a great fan of this series, by all means buy this series; but you won't watch it as often as the other series. It is a pity that they did not think to have Dino Shafeek take over introducing each episode after Michael Bates's death.

After the unfortunate death of Michael Bates, you would have expected the quality of the show to go down slightly. Surprisingly however, that isn't the case, as this sixth series is still very good, thought more focus on the Char-Wallah doesn't really add much to the show.

What can I say other than this classic series has lost nothing, superb. Windsor Davis is (was) just brilliant, probably the best TV S/Major you will ever see. Watch and laugh.

I have bought the whole complete 'It Aint Half Hot Mum' from serie one to series eight. It was made in the 70's when comedy was fun and not dramatic and realistic. Although the setting is during the war with service men in the jungle there is never any swearing, violence, death and serious over sentimental drama. It is pure cosy sitcom with a brilliant assortment of hilarious characters.

Not at all politically correct but nobody should take offence if they appreciate the intention is not unkind.
Great cast, excellent scripts which results in first class entertainment every time. Do not miss any of these series, they are all brilliant

The title of this series says it all, if you like to sit down and put your feet up for a few laughs.
