The difference lies in the volume of perfume oil. While Eau de Toilette contains 5-9%, Eau de Parfum contains more, usually 8-14%. Eau de Parfums therefore last longer and smell more intense.

Issey Miyake Pleats Please was released in September 2012. This fragrance returns to fashion inspiration, pop culture and Japanese tradition of the house. Pleats Please is a joyful, optimistic and exuberant fragrance of 'vertically pleated' flowery, fruity and woody structure signed by perfumer Aurelien Guichard. Its opening splashes with Asian hybrid fruit Nashi, generated by crossing apples and pears (pear flavour is the one that dominates). The heart symbolizes femininity with floral accords of peony and sweet pea, while Indole molecule provides freshness and vigor to the composition. The base is generous with intensive accords of patchouli, cedar, vanilla absolute and white musk.

If you like a strong smell then you will enjoy it
The only other Issey Miyake EDP that I have worn is "L'Eau D'Issey" which is gorgeous! "Pleats Please" is totally different and a bit more ordinary.
This is a genuine product and the box was encased in sealed cellophane. Inside the bottle is very pretty and would look nice on the dressing table, however in order to keep perfume fresh and prevent deterioration, it is better kept out of light and in its box.
It is a pretty fragrance that has a cosy warmth to it. It is not as strong as the Perfume because this is the Eau de Parfum, but will be stronger than a Cologne or a Toilet Water.
It is a fragrance that can be worn for daytime or in the evening as it is quite versatile. I like a scent that lasts and lasts, but unfortunately this did not last that long on me which was disappointing. This takes nothing away from the fragrance as everyone is different and the chemistry of our bodies varies, particularly as we get older.
The only reason I have deducted a star is because it was not long lasting.
It's very nice - contemporary, pleasant, fresh - but not enormously distinctive. I will happily add this to my collection of perfumes, and I'm sure it will get an outing at least once a week. The original Issy Miyake scent I bought always used to have people asking, "what's that perfume you're wearing?", but I will be surprised if this has the same effect. It is nice, but not stunning. I will update this review if I am proven wrong and lots of people tell me how wonderful I smell! :)
