It covers all of the county tops of Ireland on a province by province basis. Each top is dealt with in sufficient detail. maps of the County area are included and there are very useful detailed colour maps of the actual walks themselves complete with beautiful photograps. They contain the best walk descriptions that I have come across so far.
I am currently over half way through completing all of the County Tops of Ireland and I wish I had come across this book before. It is first class in terms of mapping, route description and advice. it is a handy size and on top of that the the jacket covers are weather resistant.
If you are thinking of completing the County Tops do not pass up on this book it compliments any of the internet resources I ve used so far including Murray Nolans excellent blog and Mountainviews.ie. This is a no nonsense; how to get there, do it and get back again, little book that i'm looking forward to taking with me on my next outing.
If you are looking for a detailed historical narrative or translations of place names this is not the book for you but if, like me, you want to stand of each of the County Tops this book will help you do so. Highly recommended.
Everything has been well researched and is a credit to the author.
The best thing I loved about the book is the sat mac coordinates for parking. It just made things so much easier for planning.
