Ive had this watch for just over 2 months and its absolutely amazing! The Invicta 8929OB is a homage of the rolex submariner in yellow gold and it definitely looks like one at a glance!
The 18kct yellow gold plating is holding up really well and had some people thinking it was solid gold!
The best part about wearing this on holiday was the amount of extra attention I was getting and many people were calling me "sir" for the first time after glancing at my wrist! Haha.
This watch is definitely an attention grabber! I get plenty of complements and questions about it! Wearing it makes me feel rich and confident!
It certainly looks like a rolex submariner but only at a glance. As soon as you remove the watch, the cheap silver clasp and big invicta
engraving on the side of the case give away that it is definitely not a rolex!
The bracelet also does feel slightly cheap and the silver oyster clasp could be better quality and would look nicer if they made it gold like the rest of the watch. But for the £80 price tag you cant really complain.
The lume on the watch is very weak. After a day in the sun I took it to the cinema and tried to see the time a few minutes into the film and couldn't see anything at all. But in the few minutes it does lume it looks really nice.
Seiko's NH35A automatic movement in this watch is absolutely gorgeous to look at as the second hand smoothly turns. However it cannot be compared to swiss made ETA movements as it does jitter in comparison. You can see the internals of the watch from the back and it is an absolute delight to look at.
This watch's power reserve on a full wind is about 2 days. Which is perfectly acceptable. It looses about 3-5 seconds a day which is also pretty good, especially for the price!
Overall this watch is a no brainer! For the price of £80 it is definitely worth it!
