1.0 out of 5 stars AMAZON IS SELLING USED ITEMS AS NEW 9 July 2012

I bought this Invicta watch online from Amazon. The ad stated the watch is new. I went to register this watch at Invicta and found the warranty number has already been registered. There is also a difference between the watch and watch braclet. The watch is either used or is an irregular which Amazon is selling as NEW! Can't trust Amazon now!
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking watch, but not worth more than $100.00 13 May 2014

Bought this watch on Ebay, and thought I'd throw some of my insight into the mix for others to read.

First off, the watch looks and feels amazing. It is a very rugged, yet sexy look. The bezel is a matte grey plastic, which overlays the matte stainless steel body of the watch. There are three plastic screw-down crowns, one for the time/date adjust, and the other two to operate the chronograph. The band is also a matte steel, with rubber inserts between each link. A+ for looks!

While wearing the watch, it does feel quite sturdy (thanks mainly to the screw down pins), however it is not built like a G-shock. I received the watch, went to set the time by unscrewing the main crown and it popped off. During shipping, it somehow became "un-adhered" to the pin. Hence, these watches are not built to high quality standards (as others have stated). Luckily, I was able to take a little adhesive putty and re-adhere it to the pin- it works just fine. It is reassuring that it is a screw down crown, otherwise it might not last very long. The two chronograph crowns also unscrew, but have a very cheap feel to them, especially when pressing them down to run the chrono. The bezel is solid, and gives a nice click when spun. The band also seems quite sturdy.

The luminous hands are very nice, and charge quite well when exposed to indirect SUNLIGHT. I leave my watch on my nightstand about 5 feet away from a window when I'm not using it, and when I go to sleep at night I can see all the hands and hour markers with ease. They glow all through the night, and into the morning when I awake. **Part of the reason I bought this watch was the hour markers are luminous too, and the hands have an even amount of luminous coating. I have seen some Invicta watches with a large amount of luminous on one hand, and a small amount on another, and no hour marker luminous coating, thus making the watch useless at night. Just wanted to give a little insight, if you're considering an Invicta watch- might be worth noting the design**

Performance wise, it tells time just fine. The date function works fine too. The chronograph works, but is crap. After a week, the chrono became unaligned with zero... a bit annoying, but to fix it I just ran the chrono till it realigned, then stopped it.

Nice looking watch, good for telling time (day/night), but forget the other advertised "bells and whistles." I'm glad I got this watch for under $100. If you spend over $100, spend a little more and get a metal G-shock...

I love the watch, however, there is evidence to sugest that the watch was not new. Perhaps it was recycled from another customer. I would have sent it back, but it's to much trouble....Thanks
