If you want an honest assessment of "transgenderism" then you need to read this book. It puts the information on the table from a broad set of sources across the medical and mental health community. I do not know what is driving this societal craze but the facts should give government and medical leaders pause for thought. For those who would say this is a contrived piece, I would strongly disagree as it seems to line up very well with long-term monitoring of "gender reassignment" in Sweden.

The essays in this volume are written by clinicians, psychologists, sociologists, educators, parents and de-transitioners. Contributors demonstrate how ‘transgender children and young people’ are invented in different medical, social and political contexts: from specialist gender identity development services to lobby groups and their school resources, gender guides and workbooks; from the world of the YouTube vlogger to the consulting rooms of psychiatrists; from the pharmaceutical industry to television documentaries; and from the developmental models of psychologists to the complexities of intersex medicine. Far from just investigating how they are invented the authors demonstrate the considerable psychological and physical harms perpetrated on children and young people by transgender ideology, and offer tangible examples of where and how adults should intervene to protect them.

Product description
Review
“This book is a thoughtful, measured and much-needed contribution to the debate about transgendering children. Many parents and clinicians are gravely concerned that too often children and young people are affirmed in their gender self-identification without rigorous, extended psycho-social examinations. In the present cultural climate, it is difficult to examine the complex issue of children’s gender self-identification from different points of view since debate is continually shut down, characterized as ‘transphobic’ or ‘conversion therapy’. This book refuses to be brow-beaten and fearlessly examines the topic from many different angles, including the issue of hormone therapy and the quality of research evidence, and it does so with an absolute commitment to child welfare and safeguarding.”Marcus EvansPsychoanalyst, and former Consultant Adult Psychotherapist in the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, UK

A book containing a useful variety of essays, medical experts, as well as parents and children with experience of the issues

Horrific and fascinating in equal measure, particularly the sections on the Tavistock GIDS and the new school curriculum, this book contains fifteen surprisingly varied essays from UK parents and professionals.

The essays in this book provide insight into how the madness of genderist ideology is bypassing child safeguarding to set troubled youngsters on the path of mutilating their bodies and lifetime dependence on medication.

Excellent book for anyone who wants evidence rather than hype. Expensive but valuable.

A brave and timely book!

Excellent book. A major contribution to understanding transgenderism and gender dysphoria. First rate scholarship from eminently qualified experts. We need an honest an open debate about this very important issue, which radical trans activists consistently try to shut down. Stephen Nolan’s Stonewall podcast contains an excellent discussion of this topic with Dr. David Bell, formerly of the Tavistock Trust.

An in-depth exploration of the topic, beyond the name-calling that so often passes for debate. Whatever your current position on trans issues, read it and be informed. You won't agree (I didn't) with everything said by every contributor, but the book is too important to dismiss.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Breath of Fresh Air
A well-researched multidisciplinary book exposing the lack of good evidence for hormonal and surgical treatments for gender dysphoria. It also exposes the lies and coverups used to justify the increasingly aggressive promotion of transgenderism to children, young people, and their parents. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crucial information: the transgender child does not exist.
Very informative book about why there is no such thing as a 'transgender' child. It's a postmodern invention. Parents should know these facts so they can reason with their children who succumb to social contagion and say that are trans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Time to rethink the popularist position in gender issues.
Confronting and required reading to give a warning shot across societies relativistic stern. Economic influences, political agendas and the democratizing of true, and let's add the collective frenzied herd seeking simple solutions within complex issues requires authors to risk being unpopular to get the crowd to think.
Good work.
