Don't like the idea of buying story in parts.
Don't see the point

Very simple story that took about two hours to read - I guess i'm not the target audience, though I am a big Macro and Cato fan. This smack of commercial exploitation as getting into the invader series is like buying a 'proper book' on a very expensive HP scheme. Come on Mr Scarrow, you are better than this. I bought parts one and two but won't be buying part three.

This is well written and enjoyable. However it offers incredibly poor value for money as in effect you are paying £1.99 per chapter (you need to buy the entire series. It would be better for them to push all the "books" in this range together and make proper length book at a reasonable price

Love Scarrows books but a booklet just doesn't give you enough time to feel emersed in the era or connect to his characters. Just don't think this type of book suits a booklet. Also his use of language was a bit sloppier then his books, for example using decimated to refer to heavy loses. When in this era the word is best kept for its literal meaning.

I have just finished reading Brothers in Blood: Cato & Macro: Book 13 by Simon Scarrow which cost £6.99 in Kindle form and was value for money and a good story. Death Beach cost £1.99 and is a rip off as it's a short story and not even 20% as long as a Cato & Macro book. Also it's just a rewrite of a Cato & Macro book! Waste your money if you want, but I will not be buying any more of the Invader series!!
