etzel cardeña, ph.d. (for a complete review see Cardeña, E. (2006) Review of An Introduction to Parapsychology, 5th ed., by Harvey Irwin and Caroline A. Watt. Journal of Parapsychology, 70, 377-381).
This is a collection of anecdotal evidence (to use that word loosely) attempting to convince you that the world is not as it seems. I did find it interesting, hence giving it three stars, but I didn't set out to be convinced. I set out to be informed about the PSYCHOLOGY of paranormal phenomena. I set out to be introduced to parapsychology.
I write this not to belittle the book, but to warn others in my position. This is not an introduction to parapsychology. This is a pamphlet on paranormal phenomena.
