***Gifted in exchange for my honest review ***

This series is a companion series, where there are 2 separate books based on the same timeline told by each of the characters that are our main focus our star crossed lovers, Evie Meyers and Clay Jacobs

Michelle Irwin has done more than just duplicate each plot as some authors have done in the past, and as a reader I am so glad of this. its frustrating to pick up a book and find its the same story but just told by the other main characters point of view.

Now this world started with our series told in Evie's POV which is the Daughter Of Fire Series and Ms Irwin gave us a new twist on the Supernatural species, which I just loved, the series has grown from strength to strength and has been made stronger with Clay's POV on the secret sect of humans who dedicate their lives to destroying all supes 'The Rain'. This dual POV series really gives the reader a greater depth into both sides of the coin so to speak.
So Read these books in ORDER of Published dates Evie book 1 - Clay Book 1 - Evie Book 2 - Clay book 2 - Evie Book 3 as otherwise you will just spoil the storyline.
TBA...June (Yay Evie Book 4!!!) then Clay- 3 - Clay 4 - THANKS to the Author/Publisher realising we need the conclusion of this book first!

At the end of the plot timeline that we had in the last book in the companion series Son Of Rain Series

We start with our couple hidden away in a remote cabin in the wilderness, and this is a bit of a change after the tenseness of the other books, it was a nice change for us to chill and see our couple recouping and training so that Evie can protect herself without having to utilise the Phoenix powers.

I was given an ARC of 'Into the Rain' from Michelle, in exchange for an honest review.

I knew I had to read more of Evie's journey, but I picked up this book a little nervous about what I was about to read. Even though I had literally jumped at the chance to ARC read this book, I'm HOOKED with Evie & Clay's stories. After finishing book 2 'Rise from Ash' I was left wondering at what direction Evie would take next....

I STRONGLY suggest you read the "Daughter of Fire" series in order, alternating with the "Son of Rain" series. As both series are a compainion to one another & make alot more sense when read together, your understanding widens when they are both read. 'Into the Rain' starts directly after 'Rise from Ash' finishes, so reading the series in order is a MUST.

I think I got to the 60% mark in the book, when a MASSIVE amount of information starts to arrive, I kid you not, I stopped reading so my brain could catch up & understand the remifications of what was unearthed. But it didn't stop there.... it kept coming, my mind going back through the first 2 books & thinking WOW, this changes everything. Then a bit more information about the Fae & how they take care of their fledglings.... OH MY freaking heart stopped.... I wont ruin this for you, but damn Michelle keeps hitting you with everything. Then the ending, what the *&^%$#@!@$%%^&... Michelle left be in tears, heart stopped, jaw dropped......

At the moment I'm not sure if I want to find Michelle Irwin to hit her & tell me what I need to know or hug her so tight for the AMAZING journey she has created for Evie so far... maybe both?? But I think this maybe a general feeling after reading 'Into the Rain'.

Into the Rain is the 3rd book in the Daughter of Fire series an continues on the journey of Evie - a young phoenix and her beau, Clay - a member of a secret organisation called 'The Rain'.

After finishing the previous book, Rise from Ash, I was desperate to get my hands on Into the Rain... I promised myself that I would pace myself when reading this story but of course, from the moment I started it I was pulled in and was unable to put it down, reading well into the night and leaving myself with suitcases under my eyes the following morning (NOT an attractive look btw!)

I'm not going to go into too much detail about the book itself as I don't want to spoil the story for anyone who hasn't read the previous books. I will say that the twists in this book were brilliant, my jaw literally hit the floor when that one word was spoken... absolutely genius execution with that one - well played Michelle!

All of my favourite characters from the series had starring roles which just put a HUGE smile on my face - anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for secondary characters and getting time with both Aiden and Eth was just heaven for me.

Aaaaaannnnnd, to top it all off..... THAT ENDING!

Michelle Irwin transports the reader to a world of magic and myth with a story so beautifully woven that you feel as though you are there inside the pages of the book. I highly recommend this series not only to paranormal readers, but to anyone who appreciates good writing and a gripping plot.

HASH(0x988ae588) out of 5 stars 5 shiny stars!!! 2 April 2016
By Reviews from the Heart - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This is the third book in the Daughter of Fire series and this series seriously keeps getting better

with each book! I can’t get enough of reading this! I strongly advise beginning with book one and

reading these books in order, or you will have absolutely no idea what’s going on here since they are not

standalones in any way. This series is my first experience reading this author and I am officially hooked

on her work. Clay and Evie have been through so many things both together and while apart from each

other and to say their relationship is strong is a serious understatement. I have come to love these two

together and in the beginning of this book it seems as if they’re finally going to be able to experience

some of the hard earned peace that they both more than deserve. However, this doesn’t last long since

yet another obstacle is thrown into the mix in the form of the sudden and unexpected appearance of

Evie’s former lover the fae named Aiden. One of my favorite things about reading this series has been

how unpredictable these stories are and how I’m constantly kept guessing as to what’s going to happen

next and this book takes that to the next level. There are some pretty shocking revelations here that had

my jaw dropping onto the floor and left me reeling and I absolutely loved reading this!

This is by far the most dangerous of the three stories in this series I’ve read so far and had me

riding the edge of my seat the entire time wondering what was going to happen next. Not only did I get

caught off guard several times by all the things revealed throughout this story, but my entire opinion on

certain characters changed from the previous books. I cannot get enough of this series and plan to read

everything this author writes from this point on. These stories grab hold of you and refuse to let go until

the very last page and this is a world that I love getting lost in! I highly recommend reading this to

anyone, especially fans of incredible paranormal stories.

HASH(0x98a7ac24) out of 5 stars 5 Hearts for Evie & Clay 13 Mar. 2016
By Romance Between The Sheets - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Please note this review may contain spoilers.

INTO THE RAIN takes up from where RISE FROM ASH left off, with Clay and Evie still on the run from The Rain and living in a secluded cabin in Europe. It starts out all kisses, cuddles and kick-arse training, but when people from Evie’s past ask for help, the book quickly heats up with action. If Evie and Clay choose to accept this dangerous mission, it will take them directly into The Rain.

So what happened in this book? Well, I can’t tell you that now, can I? What I can tell you is that your opinion of one character will permanently change for the better. I can tell you that secrets will be revealed and the truth will be hard for some people to accept. I can tell you that if you think you know who's working with the enemy, you’re probably wrong. I know I was.

INTO THE RAIN is another book in the Daughter Of Fire series that I could not put down. Honestly, I find most books predictable. I still enjoy them, no doubt about that, but it’s not often that a book keeps me on my toes, keeps me guessing as to what’s going to happen next or has my brain shouting “WTF?”. What I love about this series is that I can’t predict anything, and I love it.

INTO THE RAIN is told in Evie’s POV and cannot be read as a stand-alone; you really do need to read THROUGH THE FIRE and RISE FROM ASH first. And the ending??? Oh. My. God. It's official, Michelle Irwin is the Cliffhanger Queen. I’m fairly certain the final book in this series comes out in October this year, and I cannot wait to see how Clay and Evie’s story will end. I have all my fingers and toes crossed that they will get their HEA.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

But I think this maybe a general feeling after reading 'Into the Rain'. I loved the growth Evie shows us in this book, her decisions & the path she takes, all are the reason she was born, her legacy, plus the time she has spent with Clay... has allowed Evie to become ready for what happens within this book. I really wish I had the last book about Evie in my hands already, I really NEED to know what happens next... even though I also want to read Clay's thoughts on what transpired in this book, I think if I don't read Evie's soon, it will be too long.

I can't wait for Evie's last book in the "Daughter of Fire" series & the last 2 of Clay's in the "Son of Rain" series.

HASH(0x9951d468) out of 5 stars Action Packed, Greatness.... 28 Feb. 2016
By Alison S. Parkins Book Reviews - Published on Amazon.com

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

Evie and Clay have found a safe haven for now and spend their days training. A visitor from Evie’s past brings with him a ghost from Clay’s past. As revelations are revealed will they join the fight and help the fae? Will the bond they share be enough to keep them together, to keep them safe?

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the third book in the Daughter of Fire series and what Michelle Irwin has given us, has completely blown me away! This book is more action packed than ever before and the risk to their lives is higher than you can possibly imagine. This book reveals so much more than the previous book in the series and without a doubt will have you questioning even more as you read on. At times you will even consider the true intentions and trust of those involved.

From start to finish this book carries a lot of surprises, the suspense is stronger than in any of the previous books and creates an atmosphere of anxiety as Michelle leads you into the unknown. My heart was beating in my chest faster and faster each time I turned the page. It was clear this story would have an unanticipated ending, and without a doubt the ending came far too quickly and left me in a state of shock.

This book is very emotionally charged, the love, admiration and connection Evie and Clay share is unbreakable and as they fight to survive, your heart aches, your heart breaks for these two people who deserve happiness and deserve to spend a life free of fear, worry and anxiety; they deserve freedom to be who they want to be, to be together.

My love for Evie and Clay strengthened further in this book; they are two people I found a lot of love and admiration for, they are almost like family, I found myself wanting to fight with them, fight for them and protect them. Characters from the previous books also shocked me in this third book; I found a different side to them, a side I didn’t expect to discover and they now have a place in my heart.

You will need to have read book #1 and #2 in the Daughter of Fire series to understand and enjoy Into the Rain book #3 of the series. I personally recommend reading the first two books in the Son of Rain series too. Clays POV also builds to the excitement and suspense of the story and answers some questions that Evie’s books don’t.

If you love paranormal romances with action, suspense and mystery or are looking for a paranormal romance with a difference you will absolutely love the Daughter of Fire series and the Son of Rain series by Michelle Irwin.

HASH(0x98c6315c) out of 5 stars This series was like that for me 1 Mar. 2016
By UIBB - Published on Amazon.com

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. This is the third book in the series and you must read the first two to understand the storyline.
Have you ever read a series, knew it was coming to an end and didn’t want to finish because you knew you would miss it when it ended? This series was like that for me. I knew it was ending, but I didn’t want it to.
Evie and Clay now know the true history of Clay’s family. After living in Europe for a while, they are whisked back to New York City to rescue one of Clay’s family members who is being held captive by the Rain. Now they have more help. Ethan, Clay’s older brother is helping them. He has been a supporter of both Clay and Evie ever since Evie saved them from a Wendigo. Mounting a rescue mission with both Ethan and the Fae court is a monumental task, especially when they must infiltrate the one place Evie should never go.
While all this is going on, Clay’s father and sister is finally confronted with a family secret that leaves the family rattled and with a new truth about who and what they actually are.
I so did not want to get to the end. I actually cried. I knew it was a possible outcome, but not one I wanted. You see, deep down, I’m an HEA kind of woman. That’s all I’m going to say about it.
The writing continues to be amazing. You truly get the idea of what talent Ms. Irwin has when she can write both and exceptional paranormal series and an exceptional YA/NA series. Thank you for killing me Ms. Irwin. You are amazing!!
