The story enfolds from page one and continues to feed the reader throughout. The story follows the two men through their lives from WW2, before and after Pearl Harbour to the present day. These faithful characters jump off the page and into your heart. It tells us about the horrors of war and how those men got through it. About families, friends and society.
This story has superb dialogue and is a well written story with wit, grit and love.
I would recommend this book to any adult who likes romance, but also those who just like a good story. This is a lovely romance of two men and has sexual content of this nature.
This was a moving story, thank you for taking the time to write it.
In my opinion the strongest part of the story was Gageway sinking.
I tend to skip sex scenes in stories because they often are poorly written and don't bring anything to story just inserted, probably, for fan service. However this story is rare exclusion, love scenes are not only well written but also important part of the story as it gives insights to characters.
Story is very close to 5 stars but I'm not giving them because I would have like it more if the other characters were more brought to live...yeah that's the main reason.
Th characters are engaging and the history is interesting
Very refreshing as well to live with the characters in one volume.
We get so used to trilogies and more nowadays that it is really nice to get a book that spans the decades giving a rounded story rather than cliffhangers waiting for the next installment.

Great Pacific War scenes. Good to see a m/m novel that doesn't just skate over the background of the story.Published 3 months ago by Kindle Customer
