So all you get is the table in various locations -- no characters just the appearance of the cue, no rests, spiders and the like. Very simple and very well implemented. The ball physics seems perfect and just the briefest of referee scoring makes this an immersive and extremely enjoyable experience.
The mouse controls are very well done, easy and extremely precise which makes it possible to score well and actually win.
There seems to be automatic computer set-up according to your system spec that worried me at first (I like to adjust all the options manually). However there are some basic settings options. The graphics and sound are all excellent and on the highest settings the game with "AA on" runs very smoothly.
If you've got a decent high speed mult-core CPU, lots of RAM and a high-spec graphics card you'll have no issues.
A great game - the best snooker/pool game on the market so far (and I've played most of them going back many years). Great price and easy download. There's an awful lot of play (many many months) in this game so it's not going to get out-of-date very quickly.
This one is about the best I've found so far, but it's still a rough diamond. All of the reviews on this game seem to be incredibly polarised and that's a bit unusual. It seems there are two issues that people are having - jitter/performance and UI problems.
Taking the latter first, the UI is a little unusual as it has clearly been engineered to be tablet friendly with massive on screen buttons. The CRITICAL thing to note about this game is that when lining up your shots it matters hugely where you swipe, or where your pointer is when you drag your mouse. If you drag your mouse left and right starting at the top of the screen then you get a very fast/coarse adjustment. When you line up your shot for a precise potting angle you need to be right at the bottom of the screen and then you can be as accurate as you like. That's not really obvious at first. The power setting doesn't seem to be been problematic for me, and using the white cueball trails mean you will always have enough power to reach the balls.
Jitter is a bit more a problem, and I suspect the problem stems from the game choosing it's own detail settings, and I believe it aims high. At home I'm running this on a quad core with 4Gb which was high performance when I bought it but that was seven years ago! It runs perfectly playably in 1080HD. On a newer computer with 8Gb running in 1280x1024 it's smoother than the cream in a twinkie.Read more ›
Something else that annoys me is I wasted £9.99 on this garbage and now the price has dropped to 99p. Typical the price dropped like that just after I bought it for £9.99.
easy download on desktop PCs with windows 8.1. Would highly recommend
Regarding the other reviews... this game is not sluggish in the slightest! And as for the opponent never missing, well yes they do often! The game has well balanced opponents and I have managed to make a maximum break of 108. I really don't know why this game is getting one star reviews...???

The game is certainly playable but is not very intuitive. I bought it to play on Windows 10 as my previous snooker game wouldn't play on W10. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Kindle Customer
