If you're in your final undergraduate year, at msc level or doing your mba in any subject related to international trade - this is a must have! The focus is slightly more economics than business, more models than cases, but provides a great overview of existing literature on the subject.

The book is divided into 2 sections, the first on trade and the second on monetary issues - to be honest, i haven't read the second section. Our teacher recommended it as a 2 for 1 deal, and the first section alone is well worth the price.

A feature of the book is that it can be as complex as you like it - if you're into Lagrangian derivations, there are technical notes attached to each chapter, filled with beautiful equations... if you like graphs and words, the text in the main chapters will suffice.

Well organized, relatively short chapters, and really well written - if you've ever had to drag yourself through endless waffling and authors who never seem to get to the point, you'll really appreciate the short, succinct yet clear sentences.

And as an added bonus, the best definition of Shepard's lemma I've ever seen is in a technical appendix to chapter 4.

Enjoy!
