Antonio Cassese's International Criminal Law is surely one of the best instruments for all those who want to have a first examination of ICL. I'm a student of law and I find it very complete and exhaustive in addressing the fundamental issues of the matter, and I suggest it, because of its very fluent style, both to those who want to study ICL and to those who want simply to know something more about it.
