St Theresa writes to his sisters, but also to us. This contains (in Americanised English) the complete work, which takes the reader through the various stages of finding God.In doing so, she speaks with genuine clarity and even touches nerves, as her words are so accurate.
The work itself is easy to read, especially as a piece of devotional material, because it is written in small chunks.
This is also good for communal reading. The editor and commentator, a Redemptorist priest, writes both for the individual and the group, and poses questions at the end of each section. The book can be read easily with or without this commentary. For first time readers, I would suggest reading the orginal text first.
