The drive seems to be solidly made and the protective cap clicks firmly into place: the metal loops allow you to attach both drive and cap to a cord. Very pleased with this device.
There's only one downside to this though, when you're finished using it and you want to lock your USB again the process that's using it is still running in the background, and you have to wait up to a minute or two until everything stops running. It would be much better if the stuff that are on the USB and the Encryption Software on it stop immediately as soon as you've closed everything you're using, as long as the stuff is still running you can't lock it. But I don't think other software appart from the Encryption Software is what keeps it from locking but more the computer that's being used on.
The delivery was quick, no problems there. I set it up on a windows computer. The interface may look a bit dated as some have suggested but it is clear enough and easy enough to follow. Initially the flash drive worked well on both Windows and Mac computers. Then it played up on my Mac the first time and I was just able to coax it back to life. Today it crashed again on my Mac and now I cannot access anything on it anymore. The software cannot initialise the security section of the drive and shuts down. That means I cannot even reset it using my Mac now. Very disappointed. If you need a safe data storage device to carry data between the two computing worlds of Windows and Mac I would recommend you look somewhere else. This does not work well.
This stick could be used as a personal password-hint safe or simply for stuff you don't want to share with others and for the price it is great value.
The only reason for not giving it the full five stars is that the log-in procedure, in my opinion, could be a little clearer and faster but it's not really an issue as once you get used to it it does the job - and does it very well indeed.

Had a problem with one stick and an identical stick worked fine (it was the Windows OS that messed up). I knew it was working properly because it would work in every other machine except this one, and when I called Integral, they agreed that it wasn't their stick. They sent me another anyway - for free. Excellent service from them, and they didn't even have to do that!
