This was brought to transfer files between home (Mac OS X 10.8) and work (Windows 7) and it works entirely as I had hoped. When you plug the drive in, it appears as a CD. On the CD there is a programme, TotalLock: double click this and a programme will run - it takes around 10 seconds - before asking for your password. Get that right and the main volume with your files will appear. It's not complicated to use and there is a detailed userguide on the virtual CD.

The drive seems to be solidly made and the protective cap clicks firmly into place: the metal loops allow you to attach both drive and cap to a cord. Very pleased with this device.

This works wonders in many ways and is really good, I wasn't quite sure about what kind of Encrypted AES USB to get but it seems like I made the right choice in buying this product. The encryption software that comes with it gives you a login panel so you can unlock it and use the USB just like you would normally do. I'm glad to see that it has the ability to destroy the contents saved on the USB if incorrect password is used too many times. So far I've only used it to put my favourite Web Browsers on it, Firefox and Google Chrome.

There's only one downside to this though, when you're finished using it and you want to lock your USB again the process that's using it is still running in the background, and you have to wait up to a minute or two until everything stops running. It would be much better if the stuff that are on the USB and the Encryption Software on it stop immediately as soon as you've closed everything you're using, as long as the stuff is still running you can't lock it. But I don't think other software appart from the Encryption Software is what keeps it from locking but more the computer that's being used on.

I had bought this device so that I could carry digital information safely around without having to worry about losing the flash drive and the data stored on it. As my work requires me to work with Windows machines but otherwise me using a Mac the dualism of the drive was very important to me obviously.
The delivery was quick, no problems there. I set it up on a windows computer. The interface may look a bit dated as some have suggested but it is clear enough and easy enough to follow. Initially the flash drive worked well on both Windows and Mac computers. Then it played up on my Mac the first time and I was just able to coax it back to life. Today it crashed again on my Mac and now I cannot access anything on it anymore. The software cannot initialise the security section of the drive and shuts down. That means I cannot even reset it using my Mac now. Very disappointed. If you need a safe data storage device to carry data between the two computing worlds of Windows and Mac I would recommend you look somewhere else. This does not work well.

Good as long as it supports the operating system that you are running. Due to the way it uses a program that you have to run to unlock the drive, this will not work on non supported operating systems at all, e.g. Windows RT (Surface RT or 2) or Linux.

Perfect solution for storing sensitive information away from the PC. Data is exceptionally well protected so don't forget your password! Owner's information can be stored on it too, so if you do lose the stick there's a sporting chance that you can be contacted and get it back although more than 6 unsuccessful attempts to log in will destroy the data, which could be a good or not so good thing but that's the deal and it works for me.

This stick could be used as a personal password-hint safe or simply for stuff you don't want to share with others and for the price it is great value.

The only reason for not giving it the full five stars is that the log-in procedure, in my opinion, could be a little clearer and faster but it's not really an issue as once you get used to it it does the job - and does it very well indeed.

Great stick for keeping important data private.

Had a problem with one stick and an identical stick worked fine (it was the Windows OS that messed up). I knew it was working properly because it would work in every other machine except this one, and when I called Integral, they agreed that it wasn't their stick. They sent me another anyway - for free. Excellent service from them, and they didn't even have to do that!

Had a minor problem getting the drive recognised on my XP machine, I decided to leave it a while when it eventually started working on its own ?? However, it worked without a hitch on my Win7 laptop.

Bought two of these to support a holiday/adventure in Canada, and also because I'm paranoid. Not only is it helping my paranoia but is proving excessively useful. The encryption is a blessing, I only have to remember one password and all the others are safe; they are also big enough to keep all my photo's on, plus all those travel documents you carry with you just in case, passport scans, photo I.D scans, etc. Did I mention I'm paranoid?
