I'm just finishing wk 3, the changes in my body are coming fast, even after wk 1. I'm actually amazed! I'm 52 and have never felt so mentally and physically strong. It's hard work but sets me up for a good day!
If I hear Insantity one more time I'll go insane, better off going for a run tbh. Programs are intense but it does get boring and easy to loose interest. I also hate the fact they keep refering to this is insanity... Might work for some not for me.
Whilst this product will defiantly improve your fitness dramatically your joints May suffer!! I used this for 7 workout weeks and started doing it very slowly to ensure correct techniques were mastered, but as soon as I progressed to the second month I started to notice my knees were struggling, so I waited a week for my knees to get better then 2 days back into it and my knees started to hurt again.
Went doctor and they advised me to stop using the product as high impact workouts like this will inevitably damage your joints.
I have never had problems with my knees and have been a runner for 10 years and am also a Martial artist. Stopped using the product and just running and back doing M.Arts and have had no further problems with my knees!!!!
Read the disclaimer at the start of the DVDS as this is avery important message. I have friends who have used this and they also had problems with knees and or other joints whilst using the product which in the mian went away when they stopped.
I would defiantly consult a doctor before using this.
I purchased this workout DVD a while ago but could not use it because I became pregnant. Now I am ready to use it and discovered the CDs titled "pure cardio *& cardio abs" and "core cardio & balance" will not play. It will be unfair if I have to buy the whole package. How can one get a replacement for the faulty CDs.
There is nothing here that isn't available on the net for free. Worse the video quality is poor. It is also very slow to load on all my DVD machines. I keeping thinking it's crashed till something finally appears. At the start of every disc it forces you to watch several minutes of legal warnings!! There is no way to skip these !!! Not even after the first viewing!!!!! Yes, you have to watch several minutes of these every time you want to use the videos!!!!!!!! Then there is more hype as if they are still trying to sell the programme to you. Oh! I forgot - it's a 30 day trial- so they are. Then later on there is more attempt to sell you nutrients, etc. The result is that the whole thing is slow and tedious. It's a shame as the exercise programme itself is Ok - if nothing special.
Firstly, they won't let you sell these DVDs on ebay so be sure you really want to spend £100 on a workout programme as you will not be allowed to get any of it back!
Secondly and as an owner of the DVDs i would question why anyone would buy these. Yes if you follow them to the T (or Shaun T haha) you will likely get fitter but the chances that you will are slim to none and in the meantime you could have saved your money and just follow one of the myriad of free online programmes.
Basically, if you want to get fit an healthy then just buying a DVD fitness programme will not get you there, you actually have to finish the programme.
If you really want to be fit and healthy, change your diet first and then slowly ramp up exercise. This will be a healthier and more sustainable approach.
And to those who didn't get the bonuses like the "nutrition" guide then you're not missing much. Standard dietary guidelines with a paleo/atkins bent and with no real recourse to science. Do yourself a favour, if you really do want to pursue this programme eat some complex carbs as you'll need them to have the energy to complete it. Shame the "nutrition" guide doesn't really explain this.
I got this DVD pack for myself and my boyfriend. I thought it was quite a lot of money to pay for a workout dvd but heard good things about it. I gave up spending money at the gym and decided this would be my 1 hour work out every day. After the first month I admit I did see massive results but dropped down to every other day as the workouts where just too hard. Its ok if you have an hour a day to spare and don't mind working out in your own sweat and tears but its really dangerous and I honestly don't think its a healthy way to loose weight. I will do the full course but only as I'm desperate to loose weight for my wedding but know that once the wedding is over I will prob stop and go back to the gym to maintain my weight/size/fitness. Its a shame I cant sell on the DVD's, I feel I have the right to sell it on if I want to. I only do it as I'm desperate and I feel I'm not the only one. Other people are living under the dream of having your perfect body 'by taking a pill to make all the fat go away' etc and think this is the way to go. If you want to loose weight fast do this workout. If you want to loose weight fast and keep it off you have to keep doing this workout!!! And if you want to loose weight and keep it off do it the old fashioned way! My advice is loose gym the healthy way, by going walking/running/swimming/etc.
