5.0 out of 5 starsBe committed and see fast results!
12 October 2018
I'm just finishing wk 3, the changes in my body are coming fast, even after wk 1. I'm actually amazed! I'm 52 and have never felt so mentally and physically strong. It's hard work but sets me up for a good day!
If I hear Insantity one more time I'll go insane, better off going for a run tbh. Programs are intense but it does get boring and easy to loose interest. I also hate the fact they keep refering to this is insanity... Might work for some not for me.
It is insanity but am really enjoying it. I bought this package as I wanted to get back to fitness after having an operation last year where I wasn't allowed to do anything. In the first week my aerobic fitness was so bad I had to press pause a few times to catch my breath but after that I could do each of month 1 dvds non-stop and was really chuffed to see real progress in the fittest after just 2 weeks. I have now completed month 1 and am about to start the recovery week, bring on month 2, I hear that really is insanity.
OMG! Received this with great anticipation and trepidation kind of knowing what to expect... What the flip? The fittest should be renamed The reality check both me and my boyfriend did it... I found it extremely hard but infectious and my boyfriend... Well he erm realised just how unfit he is, however we both love it and are seeing results... I love the participants more than anything because they look and act real i.e. they sweat, struggle and look exhausted but you can tell they are feeling oh so good about themselves as they have committed and stayed strong throughout knowing that as much as it pushes and stretches you... it is amazing...So in essense insanity does exactly what it set out to do...Challenge and make you look and feel fitter than you ever have before. Pure magic ;)
I would give this ten stars if I could. The pack as a whole is very good and well thought out and as a fitness fanatic have tried all sorts of different sports and classes and workout DVDs. This one is amazing. I did the sixty day challenge where you do one of the workouts six days a week for sixty days. It eases you in slowly and you begin to see results almost straight away. You have to stick to the regime if you really want to see results and fast, though you could quite easily just choose the ones you wanted to do and do then as and when you want. With the challenge you have the initial fitnesstest which gives you an idea of what to expect....! And then the first month consists of 40min workouts followed by a recovery week and then the last month consists of one hour workouts which are very demanding indeed! However the first month fully prepares you for the second month and a song as you put the work in your fitness obviously improves to deal with the demands of the second month. I can't recommend this enough if you have the space and motivation to use it and the fact that the instructor Sean T is beautiful (in my opinion!) is all the motivation I needed!!
Its an insane workout, and i am seeing results after three weeks. It encourages you to go at your pace too - Shaun T says take a break if you need to and Dig DEEEPERRRRRR
After two weeks I did the fitnesstest again and could see the improvements in my results. Each week I am doing more and improving - able to keep up more. I can't do it all but it is more than enough. I am enjoying the challenge of it and my take is I don't have to do it in 60 days if it takes longer to achieve the results then so be it. And i am following the schedule. The challenge is to fit it inside my schedule even if it is only 40 mins a day. And the plus is you can take it with you wherever you travel to!
I brought this for my wife because she hasn't got much time to go to the gym. She's currently on the day 3 of this intense work-out & now she's feeling the pain, which i must say looks really painful but If does the job for her, then I'm not complaining. The DVD came with a program and chart, also gives you a fitnesstest to start off with & then it starts to get harder bit by bit.
With a 2 year old and 6 month baby, I have been pondering on buying this for some time now due to needing a good home workout programme that could fit around being a busy mum. After just starting this, I am relived to say that all the good reviews on her can be trusted completely. For me, even the 1st disc (fitnesstest) was tough but let's be honest, getting fit doesn't come easily and I wanted a hard hitting programme that would get me where I want to be. Shaun T is refreshingly motivating and thankfully (!) not annoying or cheesy like many fitness DVD's can be. I really dileraberated between buying Insanity or Max30 and with much research, I found although the Max30 would probably fit my limited training timeframes much easier, I went for Insanity as many fitness reviewers said it gets better results over the 60 days due to being HIIT whereas max30 is pretty much 30 solid minutes of balls to the wall going at it! I'm pleased I chose insanity and I am fully dedicated to see the 60 days out as not only have I found the first few workouts fun, without doubt extremely tough (!), Shaun T is pushing you through it and I take encouragement from all the reviewers on her that tell you about the huge results they have gained from sticking at it. Definitely 100% recommend
Well, I think I might have been . After looking at this for a couple of months I decided to take the plunge. I had already done P90x and was amazed at my results and wanted to continue. Ok, so the adverts looked enticing and yes I was used to hard work and did not mind a little sweat. Did I say little?? How about pools of sweat, rapid heart-beat, soaked t-shirts and aching muscles. However......it works. After the shock of the fittest and the first week, I settled down to working my way through the program and the fact that there is no weights involved was interesting for me, normally training with weights or bands. Sometimes i was totally shattered and did not think I could do the next day but following the stretching and cool-down routines (very very important) I realised that Shaun T (bless him) knows exactly what he is talking about. He pumps you up not to fail. "C'mon y'all dig deeper" he yells not only at his class but at you also, then he will get close to a member of the class and bring the camerea with him and describe what is right and what is wrong..to you. Yes he actually talks to you making sure you are doing the exercise correctly. He even tells you to take a break so as not to lose form with whatever workout you are doing. So what has it done for me? I have lost almost 9kgs and counting, seriously toned up, I have a 4-pack + now and the definition is amazing and with no weights. I have followed the diet almost but its mainly meat and veg. As a supplement I bought LA whey and thats all. I have to say that I am enjoying this so much that I am going to repeat the program again and "dig deeper" as the catchword says. If you buy this program, just beware that it is extreme cardio so if its not for you, don't buy it.
I have told a couple of my friends about this and they have bought this so hopefully joint workouts may come about. I would be great to work out with someone but so far my results are fantastic. Was I crazy?....well I don't think so.
OK, the first thing to note, is these are by far from being easy - they are very tough and you may need to attain a certain level of fitness before you even start the fittest. Also, if you have back, knee or shoulder problems, don't buy this, try something else. You will work these areas hard. Additionally, if you have low ceilings or are tall, then you may have to do what I did, which is move them onto a portable DVD player and do them in the garden, much to my neighbour's amusement. Once you've got through these things then you will see your body shape change quickly and the weight drop off. I had a reasonable level of fitness but had climbed to nearly 16 st (224 lbs) and within a week noticed my stomach flatten. Within 5 weeks I had lost 1.5st (21lbs) and now have a virtually flat stomach, something that I have never had. My diet has altered dramatically and 7 weeks in have lost 2 st (28lbs) and my body looks completely different, in fact I need to but new clothes - honestly. The workouts get harder as you progress into the 2nd month, but by then you will be amazed how fit and well you feel. You will sweat a lot during each workout, but trust me it is well worth it. I cannot rate this product highly enough. It may cost a bit, but you will be glad of every penny when you get to the end. The only (very small) downside is that I still haven't found a way to log my details into the website, living outside the USA and Canada, but I'm not overly bothered by that.
I Ordered this Product little over two weeks ago thinking this could be the BOOST I need to achieve my goals and is it what I expected?
YES!!! I mean.. the workout itself is a 60 Day programme, having you workout 30-45mins 6 times a week and although Im only 2 weeks in, some friends & family can see slight change and for myself I feel bit better too!
Now it is intense and you do have to give it 100% for it to be able to work.
Now I wouldn't class myself as a fitness fanatic or an ongoing gym goer (if that's the correct spelling lol) I did however 2-3 years ago loose 5 stone 2lbs through eating well and cardio.. which was great back then.. BUT now what I have got to show??? Over the past couple of weeks/months I have been slacking and having more treats than I should have and I thought enough is enough but still at times find it tough to get up..ready and down to the gym! So with Insanity its great as I don't have to travel far to do it and it is great cardio and toning of the body itself!
With every two weeks you are set a Fitnesstest so see how far your fitness has improved, also comes a nutrition guide to show you the foods you should be eating.. some of the meals they have to show looks and yet tastes really good!
Also if you do end up getting this and 2-3 days in your finding it tough, keep going.. MIND OVER MATTER!! It does not require a lot of space do do the workouts, so no need to panic of that either.
And although I gave this product a 5 star rating due to it being really effective... the price is the only thing I hesitated with and even when it arrived I was thinking what have I done.
But you don't know 'til you try, if you have set goals like myself and want to loose few extra pounds and gain some size.. then this is for you!
When I saw an ad for insanity I thought "yeah - what a load of crap", because it does look like a typically over-hyped workout.
I was wrong.
I will begin by saying that, prior to insanity, I hadn't been to the gym in about a year and a half, and I hadn't done any serious cardio for about 2 years, so the fitnesstest was an absolute grind. 8 45-second exercises, and I was sweating horribly.
Then I started month one and I nearly died. All I will say is stick with it - it was nice to look down and see some abs for a change! My flexibility went up, my endurance went up (I went jogging with a friend and for once I was able to match her speed without losing my breath): all in all I felt great.
Then I hit month two and I felt like a fat pig again. The workouts were harder and more intense, and once again I struggled to get through a whole one without taking breaks (it would take me about 90 minutes to get through the workout, because I had to keep stopping to catch my breath), but by the end of the month I never felt better.
The only downside is I then stopped, and cardio fitness drops off very quickly. Then I misplaced month 1. Oh well - looks like I will have to go the gym and build myself back up again so I can jump straight into Max Interval Plyo!
