5.0 out of 5 starsBe committed and see fast results!

I'm just finishing wk 3, the changes in my body are coming fast, even after wk 1. I'm actually amazed! I'm 52 and have never felt so mentally and physically strong. It's hard work but sets me up for a good day!
If I hear Insantity one more time I'll go insane, better off going for a run tbh. Programs are intense but it does get boring and easy to loose interest. I also hate the fact they keep refering to this is insanity... Might work for some not for me.
I justified the cost of this as equivalent to 3 months' gym membership and it has definitely pushed me to exercise harder and better than the gym ever has. Assuming I use the programme again, I will have ultimately saved money. Month 1 is tough and Month 2 even tougher but if you stick in there and follow the instructions it gives superb results safely. There are good warm ups, stretches and cool downs and a great nutrition plan if you want to also follow that. I have lost over 1 stone over the full programme (Ideally I would have liked to lose 2) but I think I look as though I have lost more as I am much more toned and muscled and fit looking. It's important to note this is not a diet programme and in fact you may eat more than usual (just healthier) to keep your energy up. I am stronger and fitter than I have been in a long time. The instructor is very American and there's a fair bit of whooping etc through the workouts but if you can look past that then actually he gives good clear instructions. You work out to compete against your own last results rather than to keep up with bikini-clad hardbodies (although in the end you'll be able to keep up and better) and it is encouraging that the people on the video get just as sweaty and puffed out as me. It is really really hard but really satisfying as you see yourself improving each day. Overall I thoroughly recommend this as an effective workout programme if you're the sort of person who thrives with a challenge and being shouted at by the instructor to "digdeeper!"
Shaun T is excellent at motivating you to push hard, push harder, you can do it! After a week, you'll want to hear him every day. Which in a way, you must, as the workout is meant to be done 6days/week. And because you see results after just one week, you'll be pushed to work harder, or, as Shaun puts it, digdeeper. I think you must be moderately exercised before you tackle this as it is really exhausting. The first week you can't even walk down the stairs! And you sweat, sweat a lot. I like the fact Shaun reminds you to breathe, drink, check your heart rate all the time. Get yourself a good pair of crosstrainers, and if you're a woman, a good supporting bra. I'm in my 4th week and feel stronger and better. Thanks Shaun.
This has to be the hardest workout DVD around but I love it! I am now into my 2nd month of the insanity workout and I have to say its the best thing I have done. It is very hard and not for the faint hearted but once you get into it you started to see really changes in the way your body starts to look but more importantly the strength you start to develop. Before starting the insanity workout I couldn't even do half a push up but now I am able to do push up, push up jacks to mention a few. What I would say is if you are wanting to get fit and have a new fitness programme that will stay with you and something you can follow long term then this is the programme for you! all you have to do is DigDeeper!!!
If you are not prepared to seriously go for it and as Shaun T says digdeeper this workout is not for you it pushes you to the limit and is no gimmick it's not like many workouts which have come and gone telling you you will get this and get that and no results appear. With this work out you see the results and when you're friends and family say "what's happened to you you look great " you know the hard work has been work it and you get a good feeling highly recommended if you are heading to the beach for you're holidays this summer.
Take the time, and it works. The name fits, it takes a crazy person to go for it, but it's working. I had to adapt a few of the excercises to account for previous injuries and weak spots, but "just keep moving" (they have plenty of disclaimers about the "Insanity" and staying safe). I've taken more time to build up than the program dictates, but I feel fitter (as well as very exhausted:-), and am getting in better shape. Don't kid yourself, it's HARD work, but it kicks *#%!
Well, I think I might have been . After looking at this for a couple of months I decided to take the plunge. I had already done P90x and was amazed at my results and wanted to continue. Ok, so the adverts looked enticing and yes I was used to hard work and did not mind a little sweat. Did I say little?? How about pools of sweat, rapid heart-beat, soaked t-shirts and aching muscles. However......it works. After the shock of the fit test and the first week, I settled down to working my way through the program and the fact that there is no weights involved was interesting for me, normally training with weights or bands. Sometimes i was totally shattered and did not think I could do the next day but following the stretching and cool-down routines (very very important) I realised that Shaun T (bless him) knows exactly what he is talking about. He pumps you up not to fail. "C'mon y'all digdeeper" he yells not only at his class but at you also, then he will get close to a member of the class and bring the camerea with him and describe what is right and what is wrong..to you. Yes he actually talks to you making sure you are doing the exercise correctly. He even tells you to take a break so as not to lose form with whatever workout you are doing. So what has it done for me? I have lost almost 9kgs and counting, seriously toned up, I have a 4-pack + now and the definition is amazing and with no weights. I have followed the diet almost but its mainly meat and veg. As a supplement I bought LA whey and thats all. I have to say that I am enjoying this so much that I am going to repeat the program again and "digdeeper" as the catchword says. If you buy this program, just beware that it is extreme cardio so if its not for you, don't buy it.
I have told a couple of my friends about this and they have bought this so hopefully joint workouts may come about. I would be great to work out with someone but so far my results are fantastic. Was I crazy?....well I don't think so.
When I got this item, it was not for the body beautiful, but more for building up stamina and to loose weight. Mr T is enthusiastic enough, but I found I had difficulty understanding his accent and therefore at the beginning missed a number of exercise changes. It took me about 5 weeks to become acustomed to it. The regular fitness tests showed good improvement and the last four weeks is a good challenge. After completing the program there was an increase in definition, but not to the degree the producers claim and yes I did 'dig deep' and 'deeper'. The weight loss did not happen either. (My slimming word co-ordinator not that impressed, but at least she still got her £5 a week). After completing the programme, I took a two week break and out of interest started the programme again. The difference is remarkable.I am able to go through the whole program without having to have to pause the television and feel that I will get more benefit from it the second time around. My recommendation is that before trying this workout, to do some cardio and upper body work to give you the foundation to attack it.
