I remember reading Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels when I was in my early teens. I raved about them. But then I grew up.
Somehow, Innocent in Las Vegas takes me back to that time, when an innocent enjoyment of books and laugh out loud capers were paramount. I have to say although I can draw parallels between the two characters, I relate more to Tiffany Black, and love her interactions with her clients, suspects, and friends and family. Especially her family. The book is very wholesome, and while it does feature some violence (often with a comedic slant), it is free of bad language and graphic sex - I know this will make some of you doubt its 'realism', but I can tell you it most certainly doesn't.
I can't remember laughing out loud quite so much while reading for a very long time. Winters has a real talent for writing, and gives the characters unique voices that will have you giggling into your book.
A great plot with realistic characterisation and entertainment value, this is definitely not a book to be missed by lovers of mysteries, chick lit, spunky heroines and all things cupcake.
Devoid of foul language, gratuitous sex and gore, it makes this book a wholesome fulfilling read. With generous helpings of action, mystery and suspense, it is hard to put this book down. All in all, i`d say give it a try. Nice enjoyable read.
The only thing 'against' it as such is that it was too short. I don't usually like l o n g books, but this one was a little on the short side.
I'm looking forward to the building main character(s) and hope that the fast pace and well written scenes and characters continue. Good if you like a well written and not too heavy crime caper.
Lightweight it may be, but it is certainly very satisfying.
THe setting was interesting and the characters quite well rounded. I thought the actual plot was a little thin and weird.
Interestingly, until I read the reviews I hadn't noticed low level violence and no bad language. Just shows how much these things bother me I suppose.
I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did I have been reading a lot more complex books recently and this fun book was the perfect choice for me. I read it in one sitting --give it a try, you never know you might just love it too.
I won't go into the plot or story line ..you can find that in the description above

Ok read but rather childish humour. Would not bother with other stories in this series.Published 2 months ago by Pete Jenner

Plot was OK easy to follow. Lots of similarities in storyline to Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich e.g. Stone/Ranger, food elements.Published 5 months ago by LG
