Amazon Review

Inner Harbor, the highly anticipated close to the story of "the lives and loves of three brothers on the windswept shores of the Chesapeake Bay" that began in Sea Swept and Rising Tides,, finds Philip, the last unwed Quinn brother, juggling his high-powered advertising job and his new-found family duty of helping to care for his young adopted brother, Seth. When Dr. Sybill Griffin shows up in the sleepy town of St. Christopher, Philip makes room in his hectic schedule for the mysterious woman who stirs his senses and threatens to steal his heart. And while Sybill can't deny her own growing feelings for the charismatic Quinn, the secret connection to Seth that she hides may destroy any chance that the two young lovers have at happiness. Full of heartwarming familial moments, tender romance, and a touch of tension, Inner Harbor is an outstanding conclusion to a truly stunning trilogy. --This text refers to the Perfect Paperback edition.

As with the other books in this series, I was mostly smitten by the characters but really put off by the bullying between the brothers. Didn't seem like good clean fun to me. Pushing people into water and holding people down to take off their trousers? Why is that funny or acceptable? This behaviour was presented a mens' way of showing brotherly love, i.e. If you really love each other, you trust that being held down or pushed into the dock is going to be okay.
Most of Nora Robert's books show more insight. In spite of this, I enjoyed the beginning and the end, just the middle got a tad slow and tiresome. I got particularly fed-up with Cam clenching his fists.
Finally, I still think the series is worth reading - Nora Roberts' characters and situations really draw you in.

A wonderful read from Nora Roberts. This is the 3rd story of 4 and I would suggest reading the series in order: Sea Swept, Rising Tides, Inner Harbour and Chesapeke Blue. The stories carry a vivid image of the Chesapeke Bay area and tell a heart warming story of 4 young boys who have been adopted and loved by the Quinns. As the years go by they grow into strong, warm and extremely sexy men who become a family in every sense, as they come to terms with their tragic pasts and find the women who can heal them. You can't help but fall in love with them all.

Ah well it is a Nora Roberts book and apparently part of a series of tales set on the East Coast of the USA. The pages turned quite nicely but was I inspired to read another in the series, umm, no not really, there are plenty of other Authors to explore. I am not a prude, but there did seem to be some gratuitous sex scenes written in the tale. WHY? It didn't add anything to the story - if I want soft porn I will buy soft porn. Spoilt the tale a bit for me.

This is the third in the story of the Quinn family. It follows on from the Rising Tides. It is the story of Philip, the young man who feels he has a wonderful life so can he change it to help care for Seth? Philip is the details man of the business, an advertising executive, and frequently drives his brothers to blows. He does however believe in the saying "mess with one Quinn and you mess with them all" He works hard to keep both parts of his life going and feels a slight resentment towards Seth. Caring for Seth, however, has unexpected benefits. The language remains rough but again in context to the story. I really liked it. Well worth reading.
