HASH(0x9c4ea27c) out of 5 stars Great Book for anyone who likes to formulate their own recipes 9 Oct. 2012
By barleypopmaker - Published on Amazon.com

I have to admit, this is a book I have never before considered buying. I did so because the Kindle version was so cheap. I could not be happier. The information in this book is outstanding and extremely useful. There are just some malts and hops out there that you really don't know a whole lot about, Ashburn Malt for example. I have seen it on NB, even considered buying it. While this book doesn't dedicate a chapter to to it, it gives you more information than the retailer sites. If you want to add something new to a beer, but are just a bit unsure of exactly what that ingredient will bring to the table, this book will do the job.

HASH(0x9d56de64) out of 5 stars Handy, but lacks new information 2 May 2013

This book is handy, but only because it was available in electronic version. It lacks new information though. You can get most of the stuff inside directly from the web for free. It also lacks a few important information. The munich malt section, for example, is incomplete.

HASH(0x9d16845c) out of 5 stars Great book, awful conversion to Kindle. 18 Feb. 2013

Lots of very good information in there, but on kindle everything is placed in one long chapter, making it useless for looking things up.
HASH(0x9badc3d8) out of 5 stars Can I say awesome 17 April 2012

I love beer. I bet you do too then you wouldn't be reading these reviews. Making a good beer takes time. My father and I love a good cold beer after work. TO be nice, I bought another one for him. I think beer makes the brain think. When it was delivered to me it was fast. I am a brewmaster now! I love the beer I can make or possibly can make. Hope you will like it to. I know I did. Try it out.
HASH(0x9baefd14) out of 5 stars Great for beginners 7 Dec. 2012

Im new to brewing so this book gave me a better understanding various ingredients. My goal in to build my own custom brew and now ,thanks to the book, I have good idea how im going to build it. I would have given 5 stars had it covered more varieties of dry yeasts. As a new brewer I like the ease of dry yeasts and not equipted for liquid starters.
