This book is on a whole new level and one of the best books I've read in along time. I wish I could give it more stars....It captured me from beginning to end and it was one hell of a ride. So many twists and turns, that had me hanging on the end of my seat...

Bree comes home from college to find her father has made a deal with the devil....He had been suffering financial problems and borrowed money from the Mafia...

Alzerro is a Kingpin for the Mafia and has arrived to collect his debt. He is one powerful, deadly and sexy hunk of a man, who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Even though he wants his money....he finds himself drawn to Bree. So when she offers herself as payment, he jumps at the chance to own her...

Bree is a very strong character and even though she goes willingly, she isn't giving into Zerro. She wants to hate him for all he has done and fights him every step of the way....But at the same time, fancies the pants off him!! The chemistry between both characters is jaw dropping, captivating, totally smoking hot...

Zerro finds he is falling for Bree but has major trust issues with his past....

It also seems like everyone, even close friends are out to get him....

Who will he trust???

Can Bree win his heart and save his soul??

I really didn't want this book to end and just can't wait to find out what happens next :)

2.5 stars

I was really in the mood for a dark romance, this has been on my kindle for ages so I thought I'd give it a try, what a disappointment.

I enjoyed the story but the writing was awful. It was incredibly disjointed, difficult to follow and cringey to read. One of my main issues with this book was the terrible grammar. Even though I could understand what the author was trying to say most of the time, the sentences were structured so poorly and it was incredibly off putting. It's almost as if it was written by someone who doesn't speak English as their first language and unfortunately it seems like this book has never even been proof read let alone been seen by an editor.

I'm so disappointed, I had high hopes for this one and the ending was great but I can't possibly continue with the series, it was just too awkward to read.

This is book 1 of 3 of a dark romance between Bree and Alzerro (mafia king), starting as a debt to be paid by Bree's father. Theres violence throughout but not as dark as it could have been had it been more graphic- which is definitely a positive as it's dark enough to be descriptive of the story setting without giving you nightmares after.

Bree and Zerro's path is not an easy one as they start to get under each others skin but develop a love/hate relationship. While surrounded in violence, death and uncertainty, you can't help but want a HEA for them.

This ends of a massive cliffhanger but book 2 is readily available. Would definitely recommend this series.

This book was so badly edited and put together it made no sense. It repeated paragraphs and whole pages and it read like chunks of it was missing. I feel cheated for having paid for it and should by right get a refund.

Weak attempt at a 'dark romance'. After reading several mafia dark romances recently and reading the reviews for this book I was looking forward to reading it. I was left very disappointed, I struggled to finish it and despite the fact it ended on a cliff hanger I feel no compulsion to read the second instalment. I think calling it a dark romance is a push, the lead mafia character is weak and for all his posturing about being a tough Mafia boss he lets his Bree get away with all sorts. I was very dissapointed and struggled to understand why it has so many 5 stars. If you want some nitty gritty dark Mafia romance I recommend Vanessa waltz as a good read.

Having read the pre-amble and the various 5 star reviews, I was looking forward to this book. And I can't tell you how disappointed I was. It is badly written, the plot is inconsistent, the characters poorly developed. I really wanted to like it but it just doesn't work. I rely on reviews when I'm choosing books to read and they aren't usually as badly wrong as this - I can only conclude that they must have been written by the authors friends.

This book had promise, however, it was poorly written and lacked something. The story line could have been amazing in the hands of someone who was more experienced. I'm not sure I will bother with the rest of the series

Right so bear in mind that we are not suppose to talk about the errors and grammar that we may or may not have to wade through when we receive ARCs as most if not all will be removed before publication. Well I have to mention them this time as I did email Josi to say that this had a pletherer of errors in the ARC so much so that it was distracting BUT nonetheless did you not note that I've still awarded 4 stars? Why? Well getting past this uncorrected proof the story that Josi has cultivated does indeed make for great reading. In some areas some readers may find it a tad 'young' but the whole build of Indebted was a really good read and you are definitely hooked into Zerro's mafia world from the get go. There is a good mix of suspense, coupled with their fiery relationship, the need to know whose lying and and who is not the snitch is paramount. And the need to know more after that last page is TOO BLOODY MUCH ;-) Yes it's a great cliffy!

I liked the strength of Bree, she's feisty, no way is this piccolo a doormat! She and Zerro make for some excellent chemistry and some excellent angst too.

Josi I congratulate you, your writing is coming from within and it shows. Your characters have sense and purpose and your scenes whether sexy and hot are very visual too. You definitely have a knack at writing and I am definitely looking forward to more, in fact I need book 2 - like NOW!

Edited to add - I have found out that I indeed got the wrong ARC (just my luck - big grin) and I got the rawest of the raw version ;-) - so having read it like that kinda makes me more impressed by it all.
