I have followed Mantronix (aka Kurtis Mantronik and his cohorts) since they first broke on the scene, and to say that this album shocked me when it came out would be an understatement.
With Mantronik's legendary beats, production, and crisp ear-licking basslines, this album broke new ground for me when it was released.
Breaking away from their traditional hip-hop/rap flavour much as they did with the previous years title "This Should Move Ya", this album features the gorgeous vocals of Jade Trini to add some life to those technically excellent swinging R&B type rhythm and bass.
But hip hop isn't lost-bring on Bryce Luvah (cousin of famous rapper LL Cool J) to liven things up with his tongue-in-cheek vibrancy and 'roll-of-the-tongue' speed-rapping.
A technically excellent album, proving Kurtis doesn't just do rap and dance music-he's an ace producer too.
