OK. No frills with this box, none.

Info is scarce. There are absolutely no liner notes, dates, remastering info, nothing but the track listing, period. After going over each cd, mini-lp sleeves, slip-box and whatever, the ONLY date given is the release date of this edition...2013. That's it! I mean I went over (with a magnifying glass) every inch of ALL the surfaces contained within and found NOTHING but track titles and album name...and that is it!

There is contained within 10 cds housed in a sturdy (as these things go) slip-box. Each album cover is in a relatively thick min-lp sleeve with minimal borders. Album cover reproduction on main side (very good), colorful track listing on obverse (same as what's on slip-cover box).

Though packaged with a bit more artsy flair, info content is similar (actually less) than whats on those 5cd 'Original Album Series' boxes. Not as detailed as the current Beggar's Banquet 5cd sets (Love and Rockets, Gene Loves Jezebel, Bauhaus, etc) where liner notes, bonus stuff and remastering add a classy touch.

Remember, this is a 10cd span, Crematory deserve some data, any data to give better reference to the music.
The music is great however, with an unusual mix of death and gothic metal (gruff and operatic/chorus contrasting) that only Crematory can do. Audio quality sounds great. Not sure how this edition measures up to the individual releases though.

With no bonus stuff the cds do not fill the cd platter as much as I would like, but enhance the singularity of each project:

cd1...42:20 Transmigration (1993)
cd2...44:50 ...Just Dreaming (1994)
cd3...54:44 Illusions (1995)
cd4...45:13 Crematory (1996)
cd5...45:27 Awake (1997)
cd6...49:35 Act Seven (1999)
cd7...
