Lima ( what to see getting around etc)Cusco (history , where to stay , shopping) Minmum Impact and Safe Trekking, Machu Picchu ( a guide to the ruins, practicalities, etc) Phew
This book is definately going in my back pack.
I found it incredibly useful before I went (planning what to take) and while I was there. The listings are up to date and accurate.
There are several interesting sections in this book that you wont find in any other guide. Including flaura and fauna on the trail, and a good section on minimum impact trekking. Accurate sections on both the history of Peru and the history of th'Incas.
To be absolutely honest, I didn't get to use the Inca Trail section as a train strike prevented me getting to the start of the trail, so a day trip to Machu Picchu was all that was possible. The guide of MP is excellent though!
