Product Description

The Inbetweeners 2 reunites Jay, Neil, Simon and Will for another critically acclaimed, smash-hit comedy adventure.

University life is not all it's cracked up to be. Will is finding it difficult to make friends at Bristol and Simon is struggling to cope in his relationship with Lucy. When Neil and Simon visit Will for an uneventful weekend they make the decision to travel to Australia to meet up with Jay who is having the time of his life on a mental gap year of sun, surf and sex. Or so he claims.

Once in Oz, the boys discover Jay's tales of wild times and super-stardom in Sydney aren't quite true. What a surprise! Will convinces them to embark on a real travelling experience and then the holiday really begins. There's unintentional proposals, singing round the camp fire, disgrace at a water park and a trip into the outback... will they survive ?

Oh dear now this is a real shame. A really great TV series and a superb 1st movie promised much, but here we have been served up a weak, half-hearted rehash of the 1st movie with a story that feels awkward and forced. It seems a case of "why change a winning formula?". Another lads holiday with hilarious misadventure.

The repeated storyline and sense of repetition immediately flattens the movie for me. They'd already done brilliantly the lad's holiday caper in the 1st movie, there was simply no need to repeat it. They should have done something new because this feels old and tired within 20 minutes.

There are two or three (very) funny set pieces but these aren't enough to prevent an overall crushing disappointment at the haphazard storyline and lack of character development. The reliance upon toilet humour pushes a bit far at times, but I think they get away with that because it's Inbetweeners.

Maybe the problem is that part 1 had set the bar too high, or maybe it's that the hype promised too much. But I felt let down by this.

Everyone seems to agree that the films dont come close to the tv series for laughs but unlike a lot of the reviews i was pleasantly surprised at how funny this 2nd film is ! I didnt even bother watching this movie until it came on tv over xmas after being hugely dissapointed with the first film but will definatly be adding it to my collection now. So if you,ve ever enjoyed inbetweeners style humour before my advice would be to ignore the bad reviews, keep an open mind and enjoy !!

This film really is missing something compared to the series and first film. The scene near the start where Jay is bragging about how great his life is goes on for so long it is hard to get your concentration back. Very exaggerated to the point that scenes that would have been funny aren't. I was so excited about this film, but I really wish they had never made it as it has left a bad taste on what was an excellent series.

Its got to that stage now that we just can't help but fall in love with these 4 nerdy twats. Yes they are losers, yes they have reinvented cringeworthy in their own BO fart smelling induced vacum of a universe and yes they are incredibly crude. But you know what? Together they just put a smile on your face.

Having the movie set in Australia was risky business indeed. Because from every top rated show we've had that jump the shark moment- Steptoe and Son to Baywatch they have all done the most generic thing- change location. It's usually meant the death curse and whilst we may never see an Inbetweeners 3, Part 2 passes the test, just.

The guys are holed up in Australia and usual girl chasing antics unfold. But what is stand out stuff is the guys behind the movie who have gap year travelling students down to a tea, everything is spot on. Anyone who has travelled with find certain scenes irresistable not to laugh too. Howvever the stand out scene by a mile is Will being chased by a poo down a chute, only to emerge from the pool with a face full of it, bring out the Platoon music and the tears of laughter.

So praise mostly for this sequel. However it does have its faults- the laughs aren't always there and the forced reunion is just too forced. The movie seems to suddenly come to a damp squib near the end and then just ends in wholeheartedly unbelievable fashion. But there is enough here to keep fans happy and newcomers entertained. Mind you, you'll have to have an inkling beforehand of what type of comedy is to come to enjoy this.

This product arrived promptly and was well-packaged by the seller. However, the film itself was nowhere near as funny or well-written as the TV series of first movie. It was a very crude film which took the characters too far and therefore lost the humour. It's a real shame!

Loved the series and the first film but this is just absolute dross instead of the natural charm & humour that made the aforementioned so appealing the writers have obviously pocketed too much money from their success and completely lost their mojo! A complete waste of four classic characters the writers tried so hard for laughs that watching was just painful! Unbelievably disappointed I've been waiting for this to arrive since I preordered in October, I very rarely buy films new but thought on past form this was bound to be a surefire winner how wrong I was! I've read that maybe this could be the first of the sequels? On this evidence I hope not, unless the writers can suddenly rediscover what made this such a quality watch in the first place (which I seriously doubt) writing this now I still can't believe how pathetic an effort this is! Myself and my girlfriend both laughed till we cried at the series and the first film but this hardly raised a smile between the two of us! If you're thinking about getting due to past glories it honestly isn't even remotely in the same league!
Don't bother!

Vulgar, puerile, misogynistic, scatological, crude, offensive, revolting - what a smashing film!
