This was the first time I have ever read about someone who had a facial transplant so this was informative to learn. What was expressed by this character was far more interesting and intriguing than the story of Corrie and I felt this story needed to be stronger and better written and narrated. It felt a bit bland. and soap opera-ish. Though of course it was interesting to read about the conditions the migrant women were forced to bear.
Near the end I understood more why Pamela felt the way she did about Connie and it was a good ending.
I enjoyed the book overall.

Two children, a loving husband and a glamorous life in Dubai, but that’s only what the eyes of a stranger can perceive, because behind closed doors she struggles to find purpose in her new expat life.The story shifts back and forth between the two women life, and I found really interesting how every aspect of Connie’s life is revealed by the author after Stella studies her “confidante” IG profile.The story isn’t fast paced, but still quite addictive and highly interesting to unfold.The characters were highly developed and by the end of the book I felt a sense of loss knowing that I wouldn’t know how Stella’s life would turn out.Apart from educating myself on dementia and another medical topic I don’t want to mention otherwise I’ll give the whole book away, what struck me as well where two life lessons which I think we sometimes should take into consideration a bit more:1. Life is too short to not live it fully, everything can change in a second2. People, on social media, share only certain informations and life isn’t always black and white so we should always take everything we see with a pinch of salt.
