Wow. Out of nowhere comes an early contender for album of the year. Great, sweeping epic tunes infused with Floydian progressive detours, space rock wig outs, pastoral beauty with gorgeous violin solos and good old fashioned blasts of geeetar. In amongst the sonic trifle are some fab, well written melodies and tunes. It's really rather excellent.

Fantastic album.
Quite gentle for the most part, but with loads of feel and groove.
A real find!
'Prog music' that engages and carries you along rather than distances you with loads of gratuitous solos and wanderings.
Has a bit of a 'folk' feel in places, and is all the better for it as the contrast really works.
Well worth a listen, it's a real grower!

Stunning - progy, dramatic, metal elements, Radiohead loving, Jeff Buckley-esque vocals. All that, somehow a genre spanning piece of greatness. If you love music of all types then this is for you.

I like this but I also have to say it wasn't what I expected from the previous reviews. I can't see a space rock wigout anywhere, not hardly a Floydian detour. I do, though, see the connection between folk and prog for the first time - this is definitely in that space. THe tracks are all long enough to develop, and for things to happen during them. Typically strummy folky guitar, with some violin/flute/whatever, and in a couple of places there is indeed a louder passage, with electric guitar. Perhaps a bit samey, and my wife thought it sounded really miserable, but its also really tuneful, with great vocals. Definitely worth a go for a fiver.
