This book series mixes some of my favourite topics together: action, dystopian worlds, powers and love triangles. I do not want to spoil the book series but I must say that the way the first book was written was so unusual and captivating. The only problem with this book is that it completely made e dislike Adam. His character changed so much but I guess this reflects how much Juliette changed as well also believe that the whole spectrum and orientation of the 'powers' could have been explored a bit more, but I wouldn't say it was vital to the story. Also where/how did Adam get the tattoo from of the exact bird Juliette had been dreaming about?.

I feel like these books were lacking something and had the potential to be a lot bigger than they were. They were an excellent read but I have been left thinking about all the unanswered questions and the potential for more books.

Overall I would recommend this book series.

This isn't a review of the story, as I haven't read it.
I bought this as a hardback version, the first one turned up with very poorly cut edges, this was returned. The replacement was exactly the same plus grubby fingerprints. Going back again.

WARNING, SPOILERS.
This was the perfect ending for the trilogy, everything that we wanted to happen to Juliette, actually happened. Thank god Mafi didn't end up killing every well loved character and luckily everyone survived.
Juliette finally woke up from her catharsis and dumped Addie. I didn't really like the way the "Warner vs. Adam" situation was handled because it was almost like Tahereh Mafi tried to brainwash us and convinced us in a matter of chapters that Adam was no longer suitable for J. and that his loving and caring side never really existed. She could have easily shifted the attention on Warner without ruining Adam's character so much and without making him look like a sissy full of pride.
I loved that Juliette realized how infantile and stupid she was at the beginning of Shatter me, where she would refuse to eat her food.
Some parts (especially in the beginning) were a bit frustrating because J. was "blocked" and she wouldn't admit that she always had feelings for Warner, DANG IT JULIETTE GET IT TOGETHER, DO SOMETHING.
The part in which she watches Warner sleeping and then he wakes up with his sleepy smiles AND THE DIMPLES.....
Too many Warnette moments, my heart just couldn't handle it, and my ovaries literally exploded when W. fills the bathtub with water..
Kenji in this just amazing, he's the only reason why this book was a little bit lighter in certain points. His sense of humor is great and i love the fact that him and Warner laugh at each other's jokes.
I loved this book because Juliette finally got her shit together and did something about the "Adam situation" and when it came to dumping him, she did it with no hesitation, and I was glad.
The scene in which Aaron is wearing sweatpants and J.

This books starts of where Unravel me ended, with Juliet being shot and Warner saving her life even though she broke his heart. He has her hiding out in his room with only one other person knowing exactly where she is or that she is alive for that matter. Omega point is gone, blown up but Anderson and Warner has to break the news to Juliet that no one survived. Of course that doesn't go as well as he hoped and she instantly demands to be taken to see for her self. It doesn't seem real that all her friends could be gone, just like that. Kenji, her best friend, James, Castle, Brendan, Winston, Sonya and Sara. All of her friends at omega point just wiped out. And of course Adam, her first love. Her friend when others shunned her and labelled her a monster, he couldn't possibly be gone.

While struggling with her guilt of surviving when her friends didn't, she is also having to battle with maybe or maybe not having feelings for Warner, someone who tried to kill Adam, someone who pushed her and tortured her for his own gain. But she is finding that maybe he isn't the monster she thinks he is, and maybe, just maybe, she has misjudged him like she was once misjudged.
One thing she is sure of and that’s her need for revenge. Right now its all she can think about, killing Anderson, the man responsible for so much misery and heart ache.

When she recovers from her injury Warner keeps his promise and takes her out to see the remainder of omega point, she had come to convince herself that Warner was wrong, he had to be. But seeing it for herself causes her to completely collapse into herself feeling nothing but grief. Until Kenji turns up, bruised and a little worse for the war but very much alive, and bringing the news that he wasn't the only one.

From about halfway through Book Two to about three-quarters of the way through this third and final instalment, I felt really quite in love with this series.

I loved our heroine, Juliette’s, increased physical/supernatural strength and emotional stability, and I loved the way that Warner became ever more nuanced and likable, while still maintaining an edge. I liked the way the emotional rollercoaster kicked in from page one and barely let up, and I liked both the scenes of restrained sexual tension and the really quite seductive more conventionally steamy ones. On balance, I think I liked the fact that, in homage to Juliette’s improved mental state, the author almost completely abandoned the strikethroughs and flights of fantasy, though part of me slightly missed the weird prose that made this book so unique.

So in summary, this is basically a fitting end to a great series, and if you’ve enjoyed things so far, you should definitely read this installment, though I preferred book two (5 stars) on balance.

That said, I did have some quibbles. The first was the extent to which crucial things were left unresolved. The most obvious was the lack of even a token explanation for where people’s powers had come from, but others including things like why Adam has a tattoo of the bird Juliette always dreamt about. And what the hell did Warner had to do to convince his father he was suitable to head Sector 45? Seriously, his father mentions how he did something awful, and Juliette never asks him about it.

Secondly, plot has never been at the forefront of this series. Character development, romance, and emotional intensity have always taken precedence, and that’s basically fine with me, it’s just the sort of series it is.
