it is a very long time since I bought this but suppose that the concept was good and it might make good light relaxing read but it proved to be so silly that it made me crosser and crosser the more time I wasted on it (don't like not finishing a book ) None of the characters have any depth or credibility especially Carlotta and Chris .. distinguishing feature of the first is that she has a photographic memory and the latter that he is an opthalmic surgeon who is good and kind , loves his mother and likes a bit of telephone sex (ugh) We are meant to believe that she is a hot-shot business consultant who wears a white shirt and navy suit for big meetings just to show how serious she is and is able to deiver a power- point presentation in Spanish even though it is a language she does not speak.... For all her professed determination to suceed in her career she the abandons her very big chance just like that- all too silly as are the number of coincidences which litter the book (certainly could teach Thomas Hardy a thing or two!)
if you are lokking for a light easy read then there are much better Irish (and other writers than this and would ster well clear of this daft and infuriating effort
