As usual Jason has outstanding character development. Never one to portray good and evil as absolutes this book is no different. Jason has a wide range of mini-series, some set in complete fantasy worlds, others in ours. These can also make either cameo's or guest appearances however the ice princess two book mini-series is as yet standalone.

After having read the first book in the series which came for free I was charmed by the characters and felt really inside the story. Having bought the sequel, it fails to create the same atmosphere and missed the mark due to a number of reasons.
First, the beginning of the book is confusing. There seems to be a gap between the previous book and this one where a lot has happened. This threw me off and I had to really pull through the incoherent situations to finally get some sort of understanding as to what had happened (which you get about 85% into it).
Then there is the general lack of description of the environment. It can be argued that the imagination should be used to depict the scene but there is very little information to get that imagination going.
Third and most important point about this book would be the amount of spelling mistakes. Not just typos but we're talking about all out bad grammar here, as if some sentences were written a group of LSD tripping hippies. It just turns what should be a relaxing read about the apocalypse and what things would be like when s*&t hits the fan into a tiresome succession of irritating moment due to bad English.

Couldn't get through the second book.

There is a definite break in the narrative between no 1 and no 2, Which is a shame as 2 seems a lot shorter than it ought to have been or could have been.
Despite its shortness, the story runs along smoothly and provides the same sense of adventure and human interest as 1
There is plenty of careless grammar, but this can be forgiven as most of it happens inside speech marks. Not all, though!
I'd still recommend it to those that read 1 but don't expect it to last long. This trilogy is the size of one big book.

The second book in the Wanted series. As with Wanted this story is action packed. A few new characters are introduced along side some of those from the first book. Yet another adventure into a post-apocoliptic world with some moves into the richer, more stable areas of this world. This story stands well on it's own, but as a continuaton of the Wanted story is developed well. All the characters are drawn well. A satisfactory ending ties up all the stray ends to good effect, but left me wanting more new adventures.
I have heard a whisper that there may be a third and final book to this series coming out soon. I am keeping my eyes open.

I quite liked the first book by this author which is the beginning of this trilogy(although I can't remember the title). I wanted to know what happened to the characters but wish I hadn't bothered. A book you feel you must finish in some twisted kind of way. If you like guns, guns, guns and inane descriptions of womens bodies hot on titillation then you will probably like this book. Me ? I would rather clean the cooker .

The book has a good storyline with plenty of action. The only problem is that you could not really empathise with the characters because non of them were really very likable and therefore you couldn't really care if they succeeded or not
died or not.
