There are a number of books around on the subject of ISO9001/2000, some of which are very expensive. This book is relatively inexpensive and is written so normal humans can understand it. I use it as a handy reference that also provides alternative viewpoints. A soft copy of the book is provided on CDROM and I have copied this on to a server and put shortcuts on QA dept desktops.

Even though the 2000 edition of ISO 9001 was revised in 9008, David Hoyle’s book is still very much part of my reference library and I would recommend anyone (whether they are a professional quality management specialist, qualified auditor or just a small business owner who want to get an insight into the requirements of this quality standard) to purchase a copy of this book. I have no hesitation in giving it the 5 stars it justifiably deserves.
