HASH(0x9b4dc7f8) out of 5 stars Absolutely Whoa New Belgium Band!!! 27 April 2001
By Santiago Higuera - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This cd is awesome, First when I hear something about Das Pop, I thought that it was an album sang in german or any other language, but when I hera it singing in english I was really surprised. It is just a mixture of something like Gus Gus but with more rock and electronica things. Yesterday I met a girl named Nele. She knows a lot of this band, because she is like a groupie for they. I'm waiting that Das Pop got signed with a big record label. They got the feeling and all his songs were too great.

HASH(0x9b4dc84c) out of 5 stars Das Pop are fresh, exciting and a hell of alot of fun 1 Aug. 2001

I recently saw them play at a festival in Belgium. They were un-knowns as far as I was concerned. They absolutly ruled the roost during the hour and a half that they played. The sun was shining and everyone one was happy as happy can be. Their album captures the mood of this day perfectly and is a definite "MUST HAVE" in any summer cd collection. "Love program" being a personal favourite!

These guys bring melody, harmony, inventive composition together in a great way! The production is strong, with a variety of sounds. I can hear a similarity to Radiohead but Das Pop maintains their individuality.
Das Pop has a light, "poppy" sound, yet the song construction, performance, & production requires no apologies. These guys are great and this CD is a welcome addition to my collection that includes Radiohead, King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, & others.
HASH(0x9b4dcad4) out of 5 stars I love Das Pop 21 Feb. 2005

What amazes me is that every song in this CD is so different from one another, yet they make a coherent piece - that's really a style unique to Das Pop. Clever lyrics, upbeat music, some cheesy, some serious ... This is a fun addition to your melancholic or pop music collection, and definitely the best $8 I have ever spent on music recently (I found it on the clearance rack in HMV)! Favorite tunes: The One, A Naked Girl, The Love Program
HASH(0x9b4dcd14) out of 5 stars sofisticated rock with drive 19 Dec. 2001

This belgian band sounds like a mix of the Cars and Radiohead. Songs differ a lot, show unexpected turns and have good drive especially "Forever", "The One" and "Such a Day".
