My husband pre-ordered this for me as I have previously followed Paul McKennas 'I can make you thin' system.

I have to say that I'm normally quite cynical when it comes to these kind of products but after years of dieting and reverting back to my pre-diet weight, I figured why not just give it a try?

I read through the book in a day. Much of the book content is similar to the 'I can make you thin' system as the golden rules still apply. Much of the plan is common sense: Eat consciously, eat when you are hungry, eat until you feel satisfied and then stop! This sounds like such a simple concept, but if it was that simple in real life, we'd all be slim!
This is where the pre-op and gastric band surgery trances come in to play. So far, the trances have been more effective than I ever expected. I genuinely feel as though I can no longer over eat and I'm already having to revise my portion sizes!
I appreciate that it is still early days, so I'll update and re-review this in a few weeks time.

I know I said that I would re-review in a few weeks (and I will properly) but I just wanted to share my first week's results! Not only have I lost just over 7lbs in my first week, but as much as I can almost not believe I'm typing this... It has genuinely seemed utterly effortless!

(3/2/13) Apologies for not re-reviewing at the 4wk mark as I initially intended as I have been busy! I just wanted to share that this system continues to work brilliantly for me.

My weightloss slowed/plateaued a little at the 2/3week point but those weeks, I began to lose inches!
At week 4, I am down by a fabulous 12lbs and a whole dress size and I'm still shrinking!

I bought this book after seeing Paul McKenna on Loose Women i was slightly sceptical if it was just a waste of time and money but after being overweight now for many years and trying every diet, what have i got to lose. I read the book in around an hour then spent days before i decided to go and find a quiet space and time to do the trance. i lay down on the bed closed my eyes and listened to the CD i then not sure if i had be put in a trance or not as i felt just the same as i did when i started. i went and weighed myself and spoke to the family and told them that eating times will be conducted a little different as directed by Paul McKenna. Today is day 5 and i can honestly say i have not yet finished a plate of food or even a full cut of coffee. i have slowed down my eating and making sure i eat every mouthfull chewing 20 times. after a few mouthfulls i get a a sort of tummy ache not painful but a funny sensation so i take that as my signal to stop. i have not felt hunger pains but im always ready at meal times to eat. i have not wanted to snack or pick up a biscuit or packet of crisp. i had a weigh in today just before i wrote this and i can tell you that i have lost 6lb in the 5 days so far. i never thought i would be the sort of person to write a comment on something but if this is working i want to tell everyone about it. i will add to this comment in a few weeks time to let you know if i still am on track. goodluck if you are about to try this Gastric Band.

14th February 2013 Since buying this book 4 weeks ago i am now a stone lighter. I have changed my way of eating totally, i dont crave food, i eat what i want, an not eaten a full plate of food since i did the trance. So a big thank you to Paul Mckenna for changing my life after 30 years of yo-yo dieting

didnt think it would work..although I hoped it would...I fitted the band 4 weeks ago and have lost 7lb...which for me is awesome!! I haven't eaten chocolate in all that time which was my big downfall...genuinely cant believe the results

Hi got this 11th August 2014 its now 6th September 2014 and I have lost 18lb I do listen to the cd every night before I go to bed its become a bit of an addiction but it has worked I'm still eating all the foods I like but just less of them and it has stopped me snacking on chocolate bars ( which was a BIG problem ) . I would just like to say that I dislike all diet food you know salads, tuna, chickpeas , I like normal food which is why I have never gone for diets because I always fall at the first gate because I just don't like the food they insist that you eat to lose weight. This idea just makes sense to me its is something that you can do for the rest of your life without giving up whole food groups. Please give it a try. I would also say that I'm now walking at least 20 miles a week and doing a fitness class once a week . I started walking to ease myself into exercise ( and also because it is free and you can go at your own pace )in the beginning I walk 40 mins a day by walking the long way to and fro to work but I found out I enjoyed it so now I walk for miles for fun try it , it might work for you and it makes you feel so much better in your self. Just to let you know I'm not a skinny Minnie I still have another 2 stones to lose until I'm a normal weight for my height but I'm closer now and I will do it .I just felt I had to add to this review it is now December 2014 and I have gone from 182 lb to 149.8 lb ( a loss of 33lb in four months ) the last month I have not been walking so much as I don't like the cold but with only walking three miles a day and one fitness class a week I have still lost another half a stone. Also I bought it for a friend in work an she has done it with no extra exercise and has lost half a stone. I have now bought it twice more for Christmas presents for my friends.Read more ›
