Please also be aware these are non-ECC, ie non error checking, which will allow for more system errors once in a while. So far (4 months in) I've not had a single memory error touch wood.
There are also CL10, slower than CL9 or CL8. They are recognised by my PC as 1333MHz memory by my motherboard (to my initial disappointment). This is normal. They can be overclocked up to 1600MHz but that's about it. Worth being aware of the slight mis-selling involved.
I bought this kit for a sandybridge z68 board, and to match up with the 4gb Kingston kit already running in it.
In short... worked a treat like all Kingston products I have bought before.
It ran at 1600mhz with an i7 2600k on board, and passed all memory checks I threw at it.
Incidentally it only ran at 1333 mhz on an 1156 board with i3 in tow, but I'm sure an avid o'clocker could squeeze more out of it.
In terms of overclocking... that's not my bag but with the noticeable absence of large clumsy looking heatsink on top I would hazard a guess that these are better running at stock speeds.
On that same theme, the low profile also makes these sticks ideal for rigs where space might be limited above the ram slots.
Finally, it runs at 1.65v, which inevitably made me change the ram on the z68 rig to a 1.5v kit as research told me the sandybridge work better at 1.5 on ram. However, it did work fine while it was in there, and still does the job in the 1156 board.
All in all, 5 out of 5 because... it's Kingston, and it works.
I wanted to buy six 8gb kits that are cheapest I could find from a well known brand (kingston\samsung\corsair\crucial,g.skill), and these were the cheapest ones at the time of purchase.

I did not "need" 16GB of RAM. But I sure-as-hell wanted to try science.
Science was achieved when I purchased more RAM than I could hope to need and installed it.
