I got this book and thought it was not going to be to good. The first couple of chapters started to show that I was right but I kept with the book and am so glad that I did. This is such an excellent read that I read in 2 days. This is about a line of murders that keep occurring between jockeys and them finding the killer. In between all this however the main character gets kidknapped and brutally beaten. The way they they unravel this is amazing and this is a must read.

Was hooked on horse racing crime stories with Dick Francis, Thought I'd try these and wasn't disappointed. However, they are rather similar in the way they are written - the hero always gets a thrashing but wins out at the end of the day! Yes, just like the Dick Francis stories! Still a good read though.

What a great story. I really enjoyed reading this and have ordered the rest of the Eddie Malloy series. I am sure that Pitman and McNally will be compared to vintage Dick Francis - I hope they take this as a compliment. The story has the same easy reading, fast-paced, exciting format. I found it hard to put down and if ever a book was described as a "page turner" this is it - (even if it is on Kindle!!)

Although the book was written in 1993, it still holds up twenty years later! The only glitch being that people are not available to answer phones and Malloy is fascinated by a 2 grand car phone!

There was one loose end left with Beckman - but hey - he may appear in a later book?
I really recommend this story - a good, light read. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series.

This is a good, fairly short read. Someone is killing jockeys and Eddie is getting the blame as he profited from the first race by getting the dead jockey's rides. Eddie is a good character - determined but mouthy which frequently gets him into trouble and adds a little edge to him. This novel will not win any prizes but it is good escapist fun and held my attention.

I really enjoyed this second book, possibly even more than the first. I like the way that the authors get the balance right between enough danger, bits of violence and intrigue about the plot. In this one a jockey killer is at large and Eddie has to work out who he's going after next and try to stop him. When he realises he himself is a possible target things get very tricky indeed. So good I bought the next two to read over Christmas!

For those that read the early Eddie Malloy book this left the reader with gaps to research. Jackie? This was a racing story full of stories but little research on grief or how the death of a horse affects some people . The race was on again for Eddie this time back in the saddle but still in trouble!

I have read most of Dick Francis's books so I was not sure what to expect but I found Hunted on the same lines and a very good read - I will be looking for their books in the future - a great read fully recommended

For anyone who likes racing oriented stories, this Series has everything. I'm going through them all and am now up to the fourth book - they're all thrilling and so well written. Sometimes gruesome, but also have the occasional touch of humour.
