This is Book 4 in a series that runs to 6 books - this review could apply to them all and I'm not going to re-type it 5 more times.
The Daisy Gumm series is a fairly light-hearted set of stories about a feisty "medium" who admits she's a fraud but gets involved in mysteries around her clients.
The character is well painted with an involving back story and the stories are all well written, with amusing quips and asides. I've enjoyed them all and become quite involved with her and her family.
Well worth the price.

This is an unusual book. It reads as real and if from real experience. This is the second Daisy Gumm book I have read and the plots are original with people one can really imagine. The mysteries are simple yet original and I enjoyed following the characters from one book to the next. The period detail is good and there is a modicum of affectionate humour. A good way to pass a wet afternoon.

An enjoyable light read. Well drawn characters and a good sense of history. After buying the first one, I read all the others in quick succession (it helps that the e-books are reasonably priced at the mo'). Only quibble is that there's a lot of repetition within each book re the quandaries faced by the lead character, Daisy. Given the way the story whipped along tho', I was able to forgive this. Worth a whirl.
