I look forward to the other upcoming Templar Chronicles books as this was an enjoyable read. This book takes place between the first & second novels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Novella about the Knights Templar and I loved it. This crew fights some really nasty things ... 18 Aug. 2015
By Julie W. - Published on Amazon.com

Novella about the Knights Templar and I loved it. This crew fights some really nasty things and Cade Williams is their fearless leader. This time they are in Germany and don't know what they are up against before they are actually fighting it. And where are all the villagers? A priest asked for help and Echo Team came to provide it. Now they can't find anyone. But there is a body so....we jump right in. Excitement every second (or fear). Great read.
4.0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this book 25 Oct. 2014

I would have given this a 5 star review if the grammar didn't have so many errors. Repeated phrases, inconsistencies, missing words here and there were very distracting. Still the story itself lived up to expectations. Nassise's story lines are always thrilling, and his characters are extraordinary and believable. Their characters are well constructed, and his heroes are HEROES. He grabs the reader from the beginning, and never lets them go. I highly recommend this book. I will happily continue to read his books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another awesome part in the series 17 Jun. 2014

This is a very good fill in book. Meaning it tells of another adventure of the Templar Knights in between two other stories. Lots of action and you'll breeze through this one quickly due to how entertaining it is. BUT,....even though you could make this the first of the Templar Chronicles you read,..it'll be best if you started with the first book that explains how everything began with the team.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Dark, Mind Blowing, Thrill Ride! 11 Oct. 2016
By Karen Victoria Williams - Published on Amazon.com

Somehow, I have found my way into this genre bending horror, supernatural, military style series and I will not be able to stop reading until I run out of material!
This bulb came directly from the book because I do not want to leave without a review and everyone is hollering at my to hurry...

"In The Hungry Dark, Knight Commander Cade Williams and his team are in Europe, helping train a new group of recruits when reports of strange occurrences at a small village deep in Germany’s Black Forest reach the Order’s leaders. With the locals tied up on other matters, Echo Team is dispatched to deal with the situation. No sooner do the men of Echo reach their destination that a terrible winter storm rolls in, stranding them in enemy territory with nothing but their wits and a handful of weapons to get them through the night."

That copied/said...
I have an All New appreciation for Urban Fantasy and Joseph Nassise has now become one of my top favourite authors and is going on to My TBRR shelf!
5 stars for an incredible back story with a surprising , twisty-turning connection to the present. Wonderfully developed characters and a breakneck pace that won't allow you to put the book down!
I just cannot say enough about these books and I promise they will Not disappoint! Take a break, step out of your comfort zone and you Will Not be sorry, Enjoy!

liked the briefness of the mission and the addition of Gabrielle.Duncan was bright more into the story so there was a good building of characters. well planned, excellently written. Very enjoyable. easy to picture for identity of the characters. Eagerly Awaiting the next book. again, well done Joe.
