The second edition of a bestseller, this book provides an understanding of the human factors issues often encountered in the design, implementation, and evaluation of products and systems. Emphasizing the close relationship between basic theory and application, the authors offer a framework for the research process and give an integrated view of the current state of knowledge regarding factors that influence human and system performance, examining how these factors can be accommodated in system design. This edition addresses such concepts as situation awareness and highlights topics of interest, with a special focus on computer applications and human-computer interaction.

Well bound (Hardback) and good paper, slightly disappointing are the black and white illustrations and pictures.
Good sections on additional reading and references are helpful.
This was for post grad study and has provided good value.
While used for specifics it would be one of the reference works you would retain for future use.
The coverage is broad and the topics pertinent to either HF or Erg dependant on your country/course.
As ever some topics will date faster than others, easy read with good explanations.
Overall a good source of pertinent information.
