Full of action and suspense the story moves quickly through the worryof battles that look like being lost without dramatic intervention, covert operations, new weapon development. Gosh the excitement never dwindles. The political and emotional interaction between the characters is superb. The characters are well developed and there are so many I couldn't count them. In my 80+ years I have never become so engrossed in reading a story, it had me spellbound. What is particularly impressive is the realism created by the author when, unlike in most modern films, our heroes are also vulnerable to be shot or injured. How often do we think how silly it looks when the Bond like character can run through a hail of bullets without getting a scratch whist hitting an enemy with every shot from his revolver. Not so with this book and the realism dragged me into believing that I was there fighting with the Human Legion. I would recommend this series of books to anyone who likes excitement.

Well, I wasn't sure as I started reading this series but I'm beginning to think it could be an awfully big number.
Gave a gasp as I saw the title of the next book thinking it would be instantly available in the Kindle store. Sadly, I'll have to wait a bit longer. Each page brings another shot of adrenaline fuelled violence to be replaced by yet another twist. Think I'll probably died of depression when it all comes to an end.
To those of you with a slightly degraded memory I really should have re-read the series from the beginning as I'm sure I've forgotten more than I remembered and even the preceding section doesn't fill in all the blanks. Good to know as I may do that before the next episode. There are so many loose ends as the rebellion spans across the galaxy it will be interesting to see how Mr Taylor ties them all up.

A good story, plot well crafted. I read the initial episode as a freebee on Amazon and paid for the following titles to follow the story through. The tale is a good one although the telling can be a little facile at times and proves a curious mix of British cultural reference seemingly pitched at an American audience (or at least in the style of a would-be Hollywood screenplay). None the less, I would recommend the series as an enjoyable and engrossing escape - I will certainly read the subsequent titles for pleasure as much as curiosity.

With each book this series seems to slowly lose it's way, become less focused, more waffly.

I'm not entirely sure why, though I am sure that part of the reason is the main character. He is too many contradictions in one, and they don't combine to make a greater whole, rather most of them just make no sense, and when you consider he is supposedly the genetically engineered hope of humanity, all of his insecurities, indecision and total emotional incompetence just make no sense whatsoever, and it's getting harder and harder to hide it.

Another major part seems to be the authors lack of knowledge or interest in any real military behavior beyond the most prejudiced layman views.

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest volume in the "Human Legion" series, as Mankind & it's allies fight for freedom.

The saga continues apace in this well written book & I look forward to the next one.

While the other 3 books had me wanting to read from start to finish, this didn't for some reason not sure why though. Parts of the book seemed to jump from one place to the next without any real detail in saying why or where they going just that the next chapter was on a complete new planet without any details. While I will still read the rest of the series as it is an enjoyable read if lacking that missing ingredient that was with the first 3 books, maybe I was expecting more humans in this book considering the title and more details on Amilix

Another great book from Tim. Hopefully this series can go on for more than the sixth book that is Tim is writing now. The characters and plot are brilliant, keep on writing Tim.

Not going to bother with this series any more. The previous books were enjoyable despite the many mistakes but this one is very poor.
