Amazing book, I purchased this for research as I was designing a book myself celebrating 25 years of Hubble 2 years ago now. The pictures and information in this book are amazing! I normally sell or donate old books that I have purchased for research but this one is staying! It's just so beautiful and there are just soo many pages of jaw-dropping images of space and deep space, truly remarkable.

I can't express how much I recommend this book to anybody that is interested in space. Truly an amazing book, my little cousins came round last week and both were so inspired about space because of this book!

Be aware this book is huge..... and totally amazing. I chose it without knowing what I would get. The images are totally stunning and it has some good information in it (but not too much). I bought it for my Dad who is interested in things like this. Mum enjoyed looking at it even though she has dementia and struggles to read now. She was able to see why they call the nebulae the names they do because she could see pictures in them.

Beautifully produced and largely well written. A coffee-table book with some intellectual substance in addition to its physical weight. The photographs are simply stunning. Well worth the money.

My only niggle is that there are some bits of gobbledygook in the text that are obviously copy/paste errors. Such mistakes simply wouldn't have appeared in books like this years ago, because the draft text would have been carefully vetted by professional editors and proof readers. In this case it looks as though the only proofing was done using a spell checker - that's just not good enough, especially for a book of this price.

However, the Kindle version is awful - the text is TOTALLY illegible, the photos are not full screen - in fact, none of it is full screen.
VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTING - DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THE KINDLE VERSION

Very nice book with amazing pictures and interesting information both about the pictures and about the background history of the ongoing project and the thrilling servicing missions.

Each HST picture is color coded with a number referring to the the Servicing Mission phase thus allowing to see the effect that they had on the quality of the pictures.

Pay attention to the book's dimensions on the product information section. It may seem too big, but I'm sure that overall the pictures benefit from the size, as the superb detail level on many of them could not have been reached with standard page size.

I warmly recommend for any casual reader like me who's interested in astronomy or science in general.

Excellent book, good quality, nice layout and very informative with an excellent price for what you get. There’s an updated 2015 edition with new Hubble pictures which Amazon didn't offer at my order point. Deducting one star for the poor packaging which ended up damaging book’s corners during transportation. The seller should consider leaving no movement space inside the box covering the book in a transparent film to avoid friction damage. Those minor details that eventually stand out.
