The number of consumer electronic products which uses WiFi connectivity continues to grow, creating a natural demand for wider WiFi coverage around the home from devices which include games consoles, TV's, Printers, smartphones and many more devices. Domestic WiFi routers tend to be sited next to the landline master socket, typically in the hallway or at the one side of the house which is not always the most effective location for distributing signal throughout the building. The Huawei WS320 can be sited at any point in the home to provide a strong signal and minimise black spots.

I plugged it into an electrical mains socket in the same room as the router is situated.
I have a TalkTalk router. On the left hand side of the router there are three buttons. The top button is for wps. You need to press this button to enable the wifi repeater to connect to the router.
Once you plug the repeater in, a red light will show. Press this button down once. An orange light will flash for a few minutes.
The light will then stop flashing and will be green. This indicates that the repeater has set up correctly with the router.
You can now unplug it and plug it in wherever you need a stronger signal.
No need to configure it again every time you unplug it.
I could not believe how easy it was to set up. No typing in configurations to connect. Literally plug and play at the touch of a button.
I chose this product because it is a good make and has good genuine reviews from real customers like myself.
I recommend this product as it's so easy to set up and a quality product for the price.
The signal strength in the previous weak spots in the house is now as good as the room in which the router is situated.
it wouldn't connect using the WPS button tho it is enabled , so after an hour i gave up and had to do it manually ..so it was a pain to set up and get running...
some time it works well sometimes it doesn't..it will be working great then for some reason , disconnect and i will have to un plug it to restart it ..then my laptop will have trouble finding it and keep connecting to the router which is a pain as there's hardly any signal from there . so maybe its a config problem ive no idea..maybe it would work better on a different channel ..
so to summarize works.. great sometimes ..
update .. changed the name on my router so had to reset it ... refused to work with the WPS button.. and was a real pain to connect ..took ages but it did finally and has been working well since then only lost connection once in the last week so just plugged it back in and its fine..
I am not a huge fan of Huawei products at the best of times so I shouldn't be surprised by this at all.
For those of you looking to extend into a blackspot then I wouldn't recommend this at all, rather go for one of the netgear extenders that has external antennae. The Netgear EX6100 AC750 is a good example but there are cheaper alternatives in their range. These are just as easy to setup and actually belt out a really strong usuable signal to your black spots. I now get a great signal throughout my house.
Throw the instructions away (burn or blend them if possible). Plug it in near to your router (reset it using a paper-clip if you're trying the setup again) and wait for the red light to turn yellow. Turn your phone (or tablet/PC) on and open wifi settings. "Repeater" will show up in your list of wifi networks (it wouldn't show on my PC but was there on my phone and laptop). Select it and then open your browser (dont use a browser which is already open) which will open the configuration - otherwise go to this address http://192.168.1.254. If its not there then try a different PC/Mac/Phone.
Select option 2 which is Manual Configuration. Ensure the name of your router appears in the pop up window. Type in your router's password and that's it. The light on the Repeater will flash yellow (it was previously static yellow) and then turn green meaning that it has connected. Once green you can then unplug it and move it to wherever you need it (obviously not too far from the router - 1/2 way between the router and your "dead spot/s".
Good luck! - it actually took me 6 months between buying this and giving up and eventually getting it to work.
