Fantastic quality. This is a high spec tablet packed with functions and options.
Huawei are making great products and this is a top of the range tablet!
- finger print security reader.
- multi user option, great for your apps with multi accounts
- perfect size for portability and great for reading
- phone sim is ideal. Should be on all tablets in my opinion.
(Noticed the ipad mini w/4G doesn't have a dialer ie Internet access only.
Get a grip Apple! Considering the cost of it)
Note: can set navigation of screens to appear at the bottom of screen via settings (so don't have to
use slightly odd 'home' key)
Overall I'm very impressed with the tablet, great screen and very powerful. I us it as phone with a Bluetooth headset. This thing it's just what I wanted, I can even fit it in my back pockets when necessary, it obviously sticks out quite a bit. You'll need a bag to carry it around.
They decided to up the quality and spec of the front mount camera, pretty useless as I wouldn't inflict my ugly mug on anyone.
They also removed the internal speaker for phone calls, I use the mediapad as a work phone, so it is always on speakerphone. Good for embarrassing the girlfriend but otherwise not so good for quiet environments. On low volume in places like supermarkets other people shouldn't be able to hear you. The volume on calls only goes so quiet so you lose control and can't adjust it lower for said quiet places.
As you would expect this is a big phone so I doubt many will use it that way unless you use a BT headset. For my giant paws this phone is quite comfortable and since I am big fits in my pockets.
Note this comes with a crappy EU plug and not a UK one. Enjoy thinking your phone is charging only to find the rubbish two pin plug has fallen out the adapter again.
The screen is amazing, sound is great and everything works smoothly.
It is perfect for watching movies and YouTube.
Also, because of its size it is very convenient to have it with you while commuting, travelling.
The screen is particularly gorgeous with a very high resolution. The fingerprint reader/lock is also flawless.
On the downside, it is lagging behind in Android versions (Android 6... or Android 7 with some fairly complicated hacking about) and probably will never see Android 8, which is a big shame. The Huawei custom interface for Android isn't great, but it's not terrible either.
