Robust Fish net

This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one lasted 10 years outdoors in the sun, before the net started to decay. I used it to fish out blanket weed from an ornamental pool, and removing leaves and debris from the bottom of the pool in the autumn have had the net full of dead leaves. Even when the net is brimming full the pole and ring do not bend. I have common newts in my pond and they do not seem to be bothered by being caught and do not get their feet trapped in the netting. I guess the fish would be OK as well.

Wanted a smallish, fine mesh but sturdy net to keep on top of the dreaded duckweed and, at this time of the year, leaves This fits the bill exactly. Pleased with the sturdiness of the handle but at the same time very light. I already have a larger net with telescopic handle for reaching the centre area of my pond but I prefer the feel of this one and the fine mesh is more efficient. It will be great for getting round the edges and in between plants, Great buy and good value for the quality. Would thoroughly recommend.

The net was much larger than expected (I should have read the description more closely) but is fine for scooping out leaf debris etc from the surface of the pond.
The packaging it arrived in was a joke! It arrived in a 6ft x 4 ft cardboard box - I honestly thought I was having a wardrobe delivered! In this day and age when we are supposed to all be cutting down on waste, this excess packaging is totally unacceptable!

I'm new to all this pond lark. I use this to keep leaves off and scoop up uneaten food, which it does quite well. With experience, i would probably have gone for a net with square sides, to help clearing poo off the bottom of the pond.
