These new Hozelock Quick Connect hose connectors are a step ahead of all the others. All internal parts are made from ultra tough engineering plastics for a long leak free life, and the connection to the tap is guaranteed secure up to 10 bar, thanks to a triple locking system. The sleeve is easy to use even when wet due to the twin soft touch pads, and the hose remains securely connected thanks to barbs that connect with the inside and outside of the hose. Hose kinking, swelling, and leaking at the connection point with the fitting is virtually eliminated due to the ingenius flexible hose-tail on the nut.
Suitable for use with all 12.5mm (1/2 inch) and 15mm (5/8 inch) hose diameters.

Best way to fit the new / old hose to these is:
Boil a kettle
Pour hot water into coffee mug
Take mug into garden
Place hoselock locking rich onto hose
Stick end of hose into boiling water and let it soften it in coffee mug
(Don't burn self on hot hose)
Push hose into base of hoselock and use the soft hot pipe to make it fit easily and tightly. Be careful not to bend any of the flanges into pipe,,.. make sure all are outside of pipe.
Screw up locking ring
Allow to cool
I have had these before and they lasted about five years being left out all year round before the plastic became brittle.
So, five year lifetime - seems OK to me!
Be warned, if they do start leaking after a time, it's probably the rubber washer on the "male" end that's the problem. They develop tiny splits that are difficult to spot!!
Affixing these to the existing hose was very easy - I didn't need to warm up the hose at all to make them fit snuggly. Must have taken all of 5 mins to affix both. I also obtained the metal outside tap connector too (much better than the plastic one) and the combination of all three devices has provided to be perfect for extended use with the pressure washer.
Overall, highly recommended.
You'll be lucky if you get one to last more than a season, they are expensive, and some harder to attach/remove than others suggesting poor quality control.
The twin pack is useful, as of course you'll need two on a hose, most new hoses these days especially those sold here come with connectors however.
They used to be fantastic, I have some old ones that are going strong after eight years. Over the last year or two, I seem to be replacing the new ones annually despite ensuring they are drained and frost free in the winter Etc.
They are expensive too, you pay for the name to seems, and I am moving to brass ones at 1/4 of the cost that last much much longer. Buyer beware!

Pops off at the tap connection when you turn on the water pressure.
Maybe I have high water pressure (central London) but Nil Points for me. Doesn't stay on.
This is supposed to be an adaptor for my hose to hozelock fittings. It leaves enormous holes in the opening so is completely and utterly useless. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Scifisam
Bought these to fit some Hozelock pipe, they do an excellent job of connecting it to the outside tap with no leaks at all. Read morePublished 2 months ago by James
I bought twin pack and they are useless, whether you connect it to the sprayer or the the tap, it keeps popping up and that because it has no valve.Published 2 months ago by Blue bird 99
