What I particular liked is not only that you covers NLP on a wide level, with the necessary depth but more that it enriched my coaching experience. This made it very valuable and unique from any other materials I came across so far.
Through my background as a Master Practitioner in NLP I already studied a lot of the materials and feel familiar with lot of the processes, models and approaches. However this book helped me to understand how to apply it and outlines possible consequences and therefore it was a very enriching experience reading it!
Also it's very useful guidance when to apply what. I.e. Mapping across for healing, Disney for creativity, Hero's Journey for a calling, parts integration for conflicts. Even though once familiar you get a cognitive understanding what makes sense you might not have intuitive available when you begin to coach. I find in coaching deciding what to do comes intuitive and not in a “let me check my manual what we could do” approach. Therefore reading and familiarizing with “How to Coach with NLP” added value to me.
The book also summarizes a variety of coaching such as Life Coaching, Sport Coaching and Executive Coaching and how to apply this which is valuable for people new in the field confronted to position themselves.
As Robert Dilts mentioned in the preface “Robbie walks the talk” - by learning from the expertise of Robbie Steinhouse you either learn something new about NLP coaching or you widen your knowledge through that insights.
