Greetings I bought this book over a year ago and even though i've got a many number of books on Tarot, this is one that i refer back to time and time as a god(or Goddess:P) send. The keyword system is something that i've never seen before and how so many books take pages on reading the symbolic meanings and how it could relate if pluto is in the 11th house or something like that, but here the infomation is given in a keyword, and a few sentences to make it a bit less vague. Learnin the keywords have helped me alot in spreads when i'm looking for the future of a problem etc, but i dont find this method all that helpful when i'm doing one of my "card of the day" readings. FAB for the beginner who is wanting how to predict the future, not so for seeing how the cards relate to day to day problems and niggles. Also the keyword system could stop the reader from listenin to the cards. Tarot have been around for so long as the symbols speak to your psyche or what you wish to call it. If you feel one thing but the keyword system makes you say something different, the student may ignore his or her inner wisdom, which may lead to starvin it. These things do not follow logic! Blessings ~~Bat~~

I bought this book as i am learner to the tarot and decided it looked good because of all the reviews on it. What can i say its simple, clear and concise, and u dont get confused like i did when i read Dayle Schears Tarot for the beginner now that is confusing so if u are looking for a book to help you learn the tarot more this is the one. along with how to use tarot spreads.

Like I said this book is just right for the beginner in Tarot reading. It uses a very simple system of Keywords for each set. Which is great for a high school student whose got tons of things on his mind. I haven't finished the book yet, but so far it's GREAT!!! If you are a beginner looking for the right tarot book for you, this is it!

This is a great place to begin for those interested in learning the Tarot. Each page describes a card and its attributes, and the book gives several different types of spreads. And it's cheap!
