Format: Paperback
This is a tremendous book for anyone who is interested in improving their snooker. Each point is clearly explained with accompanying photographs. There is a section explaining the tactics of the game and how to develop a winning mentality. It is worth owning even for those of us who grace crucible finals; as a piece of snooker history and memorabillia; a detailed account of the playing style of snooker's consummate cueman.

My game has improved greatly in the last 4 or 5 weeks since reading this book.... I've played for years as an amatuer, but had all sorts of problems in my game which I didnt even know about..... Joe Davis goes right into detail about every single aspect of your game, and explains in an easy to read way how to improve with some nice black and white photos to show what he means.... I've read and tried a few books... none can touch this... who would have thought that in this day and age with computers, websites etc, that the best thing you could get to improve your game would be this book first published many many years ago? if you want to play better snooker buy it, you wont regret it! Wish I could meet Mr Davis and shake his hand for the help he's gave me :)

To say it was written ~50 years ago, it is still relevant. Joe encourages you to physically progress one chapter at a time - no instant gratification here!
