Straightforward ideas about food. Things that we know but ignore in exchange for the next fad. No gimmicks herd at all. Just common sense. Even the fast days/500 cal options came as a surprise and the suggested recipes are not from a specialist health food store. Any supermarket will do.

Good simple advice.

This book was a great short read. A common sense approach to basic healthy eating. Great meal plan and food tips. This book would be suitable for anyone wanting to lose weight and who don't want to be confused over what to eat.

Nothing new here but plenty of sound advice in a small book. I lost weight to start with but as with all fad diets it went back on again! Oh I lost about 7lbs in 3 weeks then had to abandon it as I was working away from home and following the diet became impossible.

Its a good read and has some useful information in but, I think ladies need to remember that men lose wight faster than women - its just a fact I'm afraid, and even though I followed this to the letter I only lost 3lbs in a week and not 7lbs as this guy did, on saying that, you will lose weight if you follow this, albeit at a different rate.

If you know very little about the various dieting methods ie fasting, never mix carb & fat, up your protein etc then it's a very basic guide for you. If you know a bit about general diet, fitness and healthy lifestyle it's pointless as it's just a brief mash up of information out there already, it's just too vague and he failed to include strength exercise which is often combined with his recommended diet methods to prevent muscle loss. There is a statement saying that if you eat a calorie deficit your body will automatically search out fat.......really? You body burns muscle first as a survival instinct because that needs more calories than fat to survive therefore gets rid of the burden first. I'm not saying everything in it is rubbish but It doesn't give you enough info. My advice would be go to scoobys workshop online and get free accurate advice.

Excellent book and I am dying to try the diet to see if it really works. I am going to put my husband on it too but not tell him it's a diet so we can lose weight together.

Ps . He needs to more than me. I only need to lose a stone but he needs to lose at least two.

Most of what's written here is common sense but most people don't put all this together for weight loss. Really refreshing to hear from a 'normal person' and not someone just trying to sell a book, DVD and weight loss foods.
